The original The Condemned, released in 2007, starred “The Rattlesnake,” “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. The sequel stars “The Viper” Randy Orton as bounty hunter Will Tanner, who becomes the human target of the deadly game in which it’s kill or be killed after he fails to capture the leader of a gambling ring. As people bet on who will survive, Will and his father (played by Eric Roberts) put together a team to go after the mastermind of the game, played by Stephen Michael Quezada. The Condemned 2, will be released by Lionsgate in select cities and On Demand on November 6.
Fans of the WWE will already be familiar with Randy Orton’s work in the ring, where he has been a 12-time world heavyweight champion and this is his third film following 2013’s 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded.
WWE superstar Randy Orton only got 12 rounds last time he was in a movie. Now he’s a condemned man. The pro wrestler from USA’s Monday Night Raw and Syfy’s Smackdown tests his acting chops and tosses himself into danger as a bounty hunter on the run in sequel The Condemned 2, in theaters and on video-on-demand platforms November 6th.
Will Tanner (Orton, who also starred in 2013’s 12 Rounds 2: Reloaded) is put into a seriously bad situation after failing to stop the leader (Wes Studi) of a gambling ring. Consequently, Will gets captured by an evil mastermind (Steven Michael Quezada) and becomes one of several “contestants” who have to survive in a televised death match — think Hunger Games but more macho — with bets being placed on who makes it out alive. In Will’s corner? His dad (Eric Roberts) and his team willing to lend a hand before he runs out of lives in this game.
