Though this is a few months old it’s still relatively new to me, and I’m sure to some of you as well. Randy shows alot more personality in this interview than previous ones I’ve seen and it really is a good interview. I suggest you guys watch.

I can only wish every man lived by the same saying Randy does: “Happy wife, happy life.” because it’s a good one! :p

Randy along with many other WWE Superstars and Divas gathered last night for the SummerSlam 2009 KickOff party. I’m happy to say WWE.com added a beautiful photo of Randy with his lovely wife Samantha who also attended the event with her husband.

November 7, 2008 - No superstar in WWE history enjoyed as quick an ascent to the top of the business as third generation wrestler Randy Orton. “The Legend Killer” became the youngest WWE World Heavyweight Champion ever when he defeated Chris Benoit for the belt in 2004 at the tender age of 24, and has distinguished himself through is feuds with in-ring icons such as Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Triple H and John Cena.

Orton’s grandfather, Bob Orton Sr., held numerous championships during his time with the NWA, FCW and AWA, and his father, “Cowboy” Bob Orton, whose illustrious career included an appearance at the original Wrestlemania, where he cost Rowdy Roddy Piper and “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff a win in their main event tag match against Hulk Hogan and Mr. T by inadvertently striking Orndorff with his casted left forearm. “Cowboy” Bob Orton is a WWE Halll of Famer and holds the distinction of having participated in the main event of NBC’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, losing by disqualification against World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan in 1985.

Randy has followed in his father and grandfather’s footsteps, becoming one of the most despised heels in the WWE and one of its most promising young stars. As Dusty Rhodes astutely pointed out when we interviewed him, you don’t even have to be a fan of WWE to appreciate his athleticism and natural charisma on first sight. He has what industry insiders refer to simply as the “it” factor.

Although Randy’s been sidelined by injury for a significant portion of 2008, he’s working hard to get back to in-ring action as soon as possible, and is eyeing a return for Survivor Series.

We caught up with Randy at THQ’s Smackdown vs. Raw event at Florida Championship Wrestling’s developmental facility in Tampa last week and “The Legend Killer” shared his thoughts on everything from what it’s like to grow up in a wrestling family, his love of videogames, and how his love of Mortal Kombat has influenced his in-ring performance.

On Aug. 16, 2004, as suggested in their signature Motörhead anthem, Evolution drew a line in the sand … at the expense of newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton.

Following a severe bruising at the hands of Triple H, Ric Flair and Batista, the biggest 24 hours in the career of WWE’s youngest-ever World Champion became WWE.com’s No. 8 Hardest Hitting Betrayal in history.

Years before the “Age of Orton” first dawned, the Legend Killer rode into SummerSlam 2004 solo and – without any assistance from his cohorts – found himself the proud bearer of the much-coveted World Heavyweight Title. Though he seemed to have the support of Evolution in this critical championship match and the supposed blessing of The Game, the next night on Raw told a much different tale.

On pay-per-view, the Legend Killer actually birthed a brand-new legend in himself, and he solidified his conquest with a successful title defense on Monday Night Raw. After personally involving themselves in the contest, Evolution immediately engulfed the winded champion, distributing congratulatory hugs and high-fives.

But deception lay beneath the manufactured grins of The Cerebral Assassin, Flair and Batista. After a half-year spent alongside sports-entertainment’s past, present and future, Orton was hoisted high by The Animal in celebration, with the World Heavyweight gold gleaming under the hot arena lights. While the champion glowed atop his soon-to-be former ally, the group’s chief constituent, Triple H, suddenly inverted a sign of encouragement – a thumbs-up – into a signal to terminate Orton’s Evolution membership.

The Animal dropped Orton, allowing the three Superstars to mercilessly dismantle him. After connecting the World Heavyweight Title with the champion’s forehead, Triple H slapped Orton around, barked in his crimson-smeared face and landed a mat-denting Pedigree.

Though the attack itself sent a clear enough message, The Cerebral Assassin then picked up the gold – the apparent source of The Game’s acrimony and subsequent treachery – and bellowed, “This … is … Evolutionnnnn!”

A victim of the same type of attack he’d waged upon so many others for months, the Legend Killer’s final moments as a card-carrying Evolutionary were painfully memorable, ranking among the foulest betrayals ever.
