EST July 2004 | The only approved source for all things on WWE Superstar, Randy Orton.

Randy Orton makes his way to the ring.

Randy says he has been in the WWE a little more than 13 years and he has made enemies left and right, more than he can count. No one has gotten under his skin like Sheamus. He goes around like he is a modern day gladiator, asking “Are you not entertained?” Randy says no and he asks the people of Milwaukee what they think. Randy says that Sheamus has gotten his attention and he will make the impossible, possible. He will make Sheamus entertaining. He will rip off Sheamus’ mohawk and shove it up his arse.

Instead of Sheamus, Konnor and Viktor come out and Viktor says this is their match time. So you can leave. Konnor says that if you stay, you will fall prey to two hungry wolves. Viktor says there is nothing more than they would love to do is rip you limb from limb. Konnor tells Randy to leave or they will personally introduce him to the wastelands.

Orton starts to back up but Orton with an RKO to Konnor and then he kicks Viktor in the midsection and hits the IEDDT. Orton turns into the mat and he pounds on the mat before hitting the RKO on Viktor.

After the match: Woods and Big E work over Reigns and they hit the Big Ending and splash combination. Woods gets a ladder from under the ring and he brings it into the ring. They put Kofi on the ladder.

Dolph’s music plays and he comes to the ring with a ladder in hand. Dolph nails Big E and Xavier with the ladder on his way to the ring. Ziggler pulls Kofi off the ladder and he clotheslines Kofi over the top rope to the floor and Ziggler goes over the top rope as well.

Neville sees the carnage on the floor and he pushes the ladder closer to the ropes. Neville climbs the ladder and he hits a cross body onto everyone fighting on the floor.

Neville returns to the ring and he climbs the ladder and takes the briefcase off the hook.

Backstage: Renee Young is with Randy Orton in the back. She asks him about the addition of Dean Ambrose into the match at Payback and if it changes his strategy. Randy says he will hit whoever is closest to him. It does not matter who is in his way. He will get back what is his and that is the WWE Championship. Randy says that he will be facing the former members of the Shield, but he says that one of them won’t make it to Payback.

The official contract signing carpet is in the ring to support the official contract signing table and chairs.

Kane is in the ring and he says it is his job that your voices are heard. You said you wanted to see Seth Rollins defend his title not against one or two people, but three. The match will be sanctioned when all four men sign on the dotted line. Kane says let’s make this official.

Kane brings out Randy Orton and he is dressed to wrestle. Roman Reigns comes toh te ring next and he makes his way through the crowd. Dean Ambrose is the third man to make his way to the ring for this contract signing.

The final man to come out for the contract signing is Seth Rollins and he is joined by Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury, but he decides to stay on the stage instead of getting into the ring with three men who just don’t like him.

Kane says in ten days, these four superstars.

Dean says that Justin Bieber might be a VIP in Canada, but does that mean he doesn’t have to get in the ring? He tells Biebs to bring Frodo and Bilbo to the ring with him.

Seth tells Dean he has a sharp tongue. His humor was never his style, but it was better than hearing Roman trying to form sentences. He is not coming to the ring, so if you three have any issues to work out, go ahead.

Roman says he has a sentence for Seth. Once he signs the contract, he is going to go kick Seth’s ass.

Randy tells Seth they are here for the same reason. They want the title around his waist.

Roman signs the contract and then Randy signs it.

Dean tells Seth to come down here to sign the contract or he will drag his ass to the ring to sign the contract.

Seth says that Kane has the authority to sign his name on the contract so that is what is going to happen.

Kane tells Seth that is correct . . . in theory. Kane is trying to remember what Seth said earlier tonight. Did you say that I am obsolete or irrelevant? If you were physically unable to attend the contract signing and he could sign as your proxy. Since you are standing in front of him and in perfect health, you should come to the ring to sign the contract yourself.

Seth makes his way to the ring with Joey and Jamie. Seth tells Joey to get the contract for him to sign. Joey gives the contract to Seth and Seth says he needs to review the contract. He says that everyone is accounted for. We have Dean Ambrose, or low rent Roddy Piper. Seth says that is what Roman called Dean when you were trying to entertain the idiots. Roman Reigns. That is good because he is better at signing autographs than wrestle. Dean used to say that Roman couldn’t wrestle his way out of a wet paper bag.

Then you have Randy Orton. It is no secret how Dean and Roman thought about you. They called you spoiled and entitled. Roman said that you never had to work a day in your life. Dean said the only reason you were in the WWE was because of your old man. What is wrong with a little honesty.

Seth enters the ring with Joey and Jamie and he signs the contract and then he gives the contract to Mr. Obsolete.

Kane tells Seth it is because of Mr. Obsolete that you are champion. Seth disagrees and he says it is because of him that he is champion and Kane had nothing to do with it.

Dean rearranges the furniture in the ring while Seth and Mr. Obsolete argue. Dean puts the table in the corner and then Kane and Seth stop arguing.

Dean says we all know how this is going to end so he calls dibs on the table. Dean kicks Joey and throws him onto the table, but the table does not break. Everyone goes after Ambrose and then things break down. Orton sends Rollins over the top rope to the floor while Reigns and Kane battle at the announce table. Ambrose throws a chair at Noble on the floor but he misses. Fortunately, there is a second chair and this one does not miss.

Ambrose with a suicide dive onto Kane and then he sends Rollins into the ringside barrier. Kane grabs Ambrose by the throat but Reigns with a Superman punch. Rollins and Ambrose go into the ring and Ambrose tries for the double underhook DDT but Rollins escapes. Reigns sets for a spear on Rollins but Rollins moves. Rollins with a springboard knee to the head followed by a super kick to Reigns. Rollins grabs his title belt and he stands over everyone in the carpeted ring.

The new WWE World Champion Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring with Jamie Noble, Joey Mercury, Big Show, and Kane.

Seth says it feels so good when a plan works out perfectly. This past Sunday, at Wrestlemania, he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract, inserted himself in the main event, defeated Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, and became the World Champion. Seth says he solidified himself as the new face of WWE.

Seth says being WWE Champion isn’t all about being the best in the ring, even though he has proven it in the ring. After shocking the world, he jumped into the private jet, flew cross country, and appeared on the Today Show. Then he flew back across the country to walk into Raw to hear Brock demand his rematch.

Seth says he knows you cannot relate to being him, when you flew across the country twice, you can get jet lagged. Seth says the WWE Universe deserves Seth Rollins at his best. Even though Brock deserved a title match, Monday was not his night.

Seth says for every action, there is a reaction. If Brock had not lost his mind and F-5ed innocent announcers and innocent camera men, he might have gotten his title match tonight.

Randy Orton makes his way to the stage. He says he remembers everything. He remembers Seth curb stomping him through the steps. He remembers playing all of you in the ring like a fiddle until he got his sweet revenge. He remembers almost ripping off your head with an RKO at Wrestlemania. That was before you cashed in your precious contract.

Randy says that he is deserved a rematch. With Brock suspended indefinitely, he is at the top of the list for people for Seth to defend his title against.

Seth tells Randy not to dwell on the past when the present and future of the WWE is standing in this ring? He says he does not know who Randy thinks he is. In his universe and his WWE, he decides when and where the next title shot happens.

Randy says him and him alone? Who are you kidding because you have never done anything by yourself. He knows why J&J leech onto whoever is in power because they are spineless sewer rats. He does not understand why Big Show and Kane are lap dogs for the Authority when they are monsters.

Big Show did win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, but what did you do at Wrestlemania Kane? Randy says he didn’t see him there. What does the Director of Operations do? He went from the Big Red Monster to Little Red Riding Hood.

Kane tells Randy that he has plenty of power. That is why you will face the winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, the Big Show. If you can defeat him, maybe . . . just maybe the Authority will reconsider your title opportunity. Kane tells Randy his match starts right now.

Michael Cole had a chance to talk with Randy Orton. Michael reminds Randy about his ‘excommunication’ from The Authority. Michael asks Randy how it felt to live with that night after night. Randy says something changed in him. The four months he was off, all he could think of was to get his vengeance on Seth Rollins. Randy says he came back and he had his blinders focused on Randy. He thought he would get his revenge at Fastlane, but it did not happen. Randy says he is an opportunist. He wove his way back into the fabric of the Authority so they would trust him. The mind games were a lot of fun.

Michael reminds us that Orton helped Rollins beat Roman Reigns a few weeks ago on Raw. Randy says that he is not friends with Roman Reigns and he will never be friends with him. He used Roman just like he would use anybody else. He would use his grandmother if it meant he could get to Seth Rollins. That was what would get everyone to think he would be trusted. Michael asks Randy why would he say what he did on Raw. Randy says it was reverse psychology. Seth was in a good mood so it was not expected that he would berate everyone. Randy says he was entertaining himself. Then the relief in Seth’s face was tremendous. Randy knew he would exact his revenge, but when that moment happened, it would be sweet. Michael asks Randy why did he do it on Monday. Randy points out that Kane and Big Show were taken care of by Stephanie. During the match, Noble and Mercury removed themselves from the equation. He had Seth right where he wanted him. When Seth wanted him to make the tag, he pulled his hand back. Randy says he saw fear in Seth Rollins’ eye. Something came out and he enjoyed beating the holy hell out of Seth Rollins. It was like all of the weight of the world off his shoulders with every swing of that chair. Every time he threw Seth into the steel stairs or barricade, it was a relief. He enjoyed every minute of it.

Michael asks Randy if he knows there is hell to pay. Randy says he knows that is the case. Michael asks Randy what is the first thing he is going to do on Monday. He is going to find Seth Rollins, spit in his face, and challenge him to a match at Wrestlemania.
