Backstage: Kane encountered Randy Orton. Orton said they’ve known each other for a decade and they are too of the most dangerous men in WWE. Orton said that Kane put aside his mask and went corporate but he knows as well as anyone that when The Authority are done with him, they will throw Kane away like garbage. Orton said he knows who Kane is, even “you have forgotten.”
Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton
No J&J Security when Rollins came out.
They circled each other at the bell but Rollins then tried to scramble up the cage but failed. Orton worked him over but Rollins came back to nail a series of kicks in the corner. He whipped Orton into the buckles but Orton came charging out with a big clothesline. Rollins tried to escape but was pulled back into the ring.
Orton worked over Rollins and whipped him with authority into the buckles, sending him upside down. Randy stomped Seth and catpaulted him into the buckles but Seth landed and tried to climb out. Randy nailed him and drilled him with punches in the corner. Rollins, underneath, grabbed Orton and nailed a bucklebomb for a two count.
Rollins ordered Kane to open the door. Kane obliged but Orton cut him off. Seth rolled him up for a two count. Rollins maintained control and sent Orton into the cage several times. With Orton down, Rollins climbed to the top of the cage, only for Orton to meet him and bring him back down. Orton sent Rollins into the ropes but was caught and slammed down as Rollins rebounded.
Rollins nailed a forearm in the corner. Pretty standard so far. Orton mounts a comeback and they battle back and forth inside the cage. The crowd is getting behind the Orton comeback. Rollins is sent into the cage and then clotheslined. Orton went for the powerslam but Rollins nailed him and climbed to the top. Orton caught him and they battled on the top rope, kicking and punching each other. Orton was slammed into the cage and crashed into the ring. Rollins came off the ropes with a knee to head for a two count.
Orton caught Rollins on the top and they sat atop the cage wall, exchanging blows. Orton pulled himself down to the top rope and brought Rollins in with him. Orton was kicked into the ring. Rollins dove off the ropes but was caught with a powerslam in mid-air for a two count. Rollins rolled up Orton for a two count, then kicked him in the jaw for another near fall.
The crowd began dueling chants for Rollins. The champion climbed to the top and made his way across to the outside. Randy caught him to prevent him from climbing down just as J&J Security ran out hoping to help. Their arrival came too late, however, as Orton nailed a superplex off the top of the cage. That was impressive, but it only scored a two count.
J&J Security told Kane “it was time, so let’s do it” but Kane stood there stoically and told them to get away Mercury and Noble began scaling the cage but Orton ran Seth into the cage to shake them off. Orton smiled as he continued to work over Rollins and set him up for the hanging DDT. Rollins was able to pull Orton, smashing him into the cage. Seth tried to climb back up, but was exhausted. Orton nailed him and Rollins was crotched on the top rope.
Orton went to the cage door and looked at Kane but didn’t trust he would open the door. He went back to Rollins and DDT’d him off the top rope. The announcers noted this was nomally where Randy would for an RKO but instead, Orton nailed a Pedigee, sending HHH a message, but Rollins kicked up at the last second. Orton set up for the punt kick but missed. Rollins drilled Orton with a kick out of desperation.
Rollins called for the door to be opened. Kane opened it. He made it to the door but Orton caught him and nailed his backbreaker variation. Orton went to walk out the door but Kane closed it. Rollins went to dropkick Orton, who moved and the door slammed into Kane, laying him out. Rollins tried to escape but Orton caught him and they fought to see who would get out first. Kane slammed the door on both of them.
Kane had enough and took off his jacket. He entered the ring as J&J Security tried to stop him but they each ate a chokeslam for their troubles. Kane teased a chokeslam on Rollins, which the crowd went nuts for but he instead chokeslammed Orton. Rollins crawled out of the cage but was pulled back in…by Kane. Kane chokeslammed Rollins. I guess we’ll be seeing some Kane masks very soon. Kane put Rollins on top but Orton kicked out.
Kane was leaving but stopped when he realized Orton kicked out. Kane went for a powerslam but Orton slipped out and nailed a RKO on Kane. Rollins then nailed a RKO on Orton and scrambled out of the cage.

Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins
The bell rings and Rollins and Orton begin circling each other. Rollins avoids a lockup with Orton and grins at the Viper. Orton locks in a headlock, and Rollins is able to turn things around. Orton tosses Rollins off, and Rollins connects with a shoulderblock. Rollins misses a dropkick, landing on his feet, and he eats a dropkick from Orton. Orton teases an RKO, but Rollins bails to the outside. Rollins heads into the ring, and leaps over Orton to the apron while Orton follows. Rollins grabs Orton’s head and drops his throat across the top rope before beating him down in the corner. Orton’s quick to come back with a series of huge forearms. Orton mounts Rollins in the corner and hits a couple of punches before Rollins grabs Orton and executes the buckle bomb. Orton pops right out of it and hits a big clothesline. J and J Security get involved, but Orton knocks them both from the apron, and puts them back up for a double suspension DDT to the floor, wiping out both Noble and Mercury. Rollins leaps through the ropes to wipe out Orton out of nowhere. Rollins brings Orton back into the ring for a quick near fall.
Rollins stomps on Orton in the corner before choking him with his boot. Rollins picks up Orton for a snap suplex, floating over into the cover for two. Rollins goes right for a rear chin lock, and Orton is quick to fight out of it, head butting and punching Rollins. Orton whips Rollins into the corner, but Rollins hits an STO into the corner, planting Orton’s face on the middle turnbuckle. Rollins hits a leaping forearm in the corner before hitting Randy with a couple of strikes to the midsection. Rollins charges Orton in the corner, but he’s backdropped to the apron. Rollins goes for a springboard, but Orton avoids it and hits a series of clotheslines. Rollins tries to score with a curb stomp, but Orton turns it into a powerslam. Orton beats on Rollins in the corner, and Rollins tries to hit the STO into the corner again, but Orton grabs Rollins and executes an exploder suplex that sends him across the ring. Orton tries for the suspension DDT, but Rollins fights out of it and enzugiri’s Orton to the floor. Rollins hits an asai moonsault, catching Orton and going back first right into the announcer’s table.
Rollins brings things back into the ring, heading to the top rope. Rollins is cut off by Orton, who crotches Rollins, then heads up after him. Rollins tries to fight of the superplex, beating Orton down, but Orton backdrops him from the top rope to the mat. Orton stands on the top rope and hits a cross body, but Rollins rolls through and gets a two count. Orton gets up and is able to hit the suspension DDT on Rollins, but he doesn’t go for the pin. Orton tries for the RKO, but Rollins counters with a roll up, and follows it with a superkick. Rollins tries for sliced bread, but Rollins lands on his feet and Orton hits the RKO. Orton goes for a pin, but Rollins kicks out at two, and Orton is shocked! Rollins gets to his knees and Orton backs up across the ring. Orton charges in, but Noble is in. He’s RKO’s. Mercury leaps from the second rope, and Orton catches him with an RKO. Their distraction leads to a curb stomp from Rollins, but Orton kicks out at two. Rollins is up and he pulls Orton over toward the corner. Rollins heads up in the corner and goes for the phoenix splash, but Orton moves and Rollins lands on his feet. Rollins goes for a giant curb stomp, but Orton counters into an RKO, and he gets the pin and the three count.

Seth Rollins, Big Show and Kane vs. Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan and Ryback
Man, is Rowan’s theme music the worst ever or what?
Rollins and Ziggler started. Ziggler evaded him early, then cut off Ziggler and worked him over in the corner. Ziggler was able to tag out to Rowan, who began working over Rollins. Rollins scrambled to his corner and tagged in Kane. Kane was slammed and hit with a legdrop. Rowan went to the ropes and nailed a clothesline for a two count.
Big Show tagged in and used a bunch of headbutts. He charged into the corner but was kicked away by Rowan. They went to the outside, where Show was shoved into the ringpost but moved as Rowan went for a kick, so Rowan injured his leg. Team Authority took turns working over Rowan’s leg. Rollins used a neckbreaker off the ropes for a two count.
Show locked on a grapevine submission on Rowan’s leg. Rollins tagged in but was nailed by a spinkick with the bad leg. Ryback tagged in and nailed a Thesz Press but missed a splash. Rollins went for a Curb Stomp but was caught and slammed. Kane took the Meathook to save Rollins. Ryback went for Shellshock but Rollins slipped out and used a superkick to the head for a two count. Rollins missed a move off the top but nailed a kick to the gut. Ryback absorbed it and nailed the Shellshock on Rollins. Before he could capitalize, Ryback was nailed by Big Show with a splash.
Kane and Ziggler tagged in. Zigger shoved him into Show and went for the Famouser. Kane caught him for a sideslam but Ziggler slipped out and kicked him. He nailed a Famouser on Rollins and worked over Kane but Show nailed him with a KO punch from the outside. Kane covered him for the pin.
Winners: Seth Rollins, Big Show and Kane
After the match: They continued beating on Ziggler and the others when Randy Orton, to his theme song, hit the ring and made the sav with RKO after RKO. Orton went after Rollins, who escaped and ran out through the crowd. Rollins ran all the way to his car.
Backstage: Randy Orton walks in on Stephanie McMahon, Triple H and Kane backstage. He’s looking for Seth Rollins for what happened on RAW. Stephanie tells Orton he should focus on tonight’s opportunity. Triple H says Rollins is exactly like Orton and what we saw on RAW was two alpha males trying to prove who’s dominant. Triple H tells Orton to focus on finishing Cena tonight.
John Cena vs. Randy Orton (Hell in a Cell Match)
The winner gets a future WWE World Heavyweight championship match against Brock Lesnar.
The back and forth chanting started the second they rang the bell. Cena and Orton began slugging it out immediately, going back and forth. They fought outside to the floor, where Orton controlled the action. He tried to run Cena into the cage but Cena blocked it. Orton nailed him and sent him into the cage, then tossed Cena back into the ring for a two count.
Orton went under the ring and brought a steel chair into the ring. He went to nail Cena with it but was kicked in the gut and nailed with a fisherman’s suplex. Cena went to use the chair but Orton cut him off and nailed a series of stomps and headbutts. Orton grabbed the chair and drilled Cena in the chest with it, then beat him over the back for a two count.
Cena tried to surprise Orton with an AA but Orton slipped out and nailed a DDT for a two count. Orton drilled Cena into the ringsteps and ripped Cena’s face into the cage. He continued to work over Cena but began showboating, allowing Cena to drill him with a clothesline for a two count. Orton cut him off with a clothesline in the corner and followed up with another. Orton scored yet another two count.
Orton sent Cena into the Cell again on the floor, then brought Cena back inside the ring. He covered John again but Cena kicked up before three. He cinched in a side chinlock but John fought his way to his feet. Cena made a comeback with a series of shoulderblocks and The Blue Thunder Bomb. He went for the Five Knuckle Shuffle but Orton stunned him with a shot to the chest and caught him with a snap powerslam for a two count.
Cena made a comeback and rammed Orton, back-first, into the Cell several times on the floor. Orton cut off Cena and rammed him into the ringpost, with Cena’s nether-regions taking the brunt of the shot. Orton then hit his backbreaker variation on the floor. Cena was muscled back into the ring. Cena barely kicked out and rolled out to the apron, pulling himself up on the outside of the ropes. Orton drilled him, launching Cena off the apron into the cage. The crowd chanted, “RKO.”
Orton went to whip Cena into the cage but Cena reversed it and sent Orton into the cage several times on the floor. Cena pulled a table out from under the ring. Orton nailed a standing dropkick to cut off Cena’s momentum and covered him for a two count. Orton sent him into the corner where a chair was wedged and Cena went down hard. Orton covered him for another two count.
Orton set up the table in the corner and tried to send Cena into it but Cena escaped and nailed a shoulderblock. Cena charged but was caught with an RKO out of nowhere for a two count. Orton sent Cena into the table, smashing it, and covered Cena for another two count.
Orton brought in the ring steps and teased nailing the RKO on the stairs. He went for it but Cena slipped out and nailed the Blue Thunder Bomb on the steps, then hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle on them. He went for an AA on the steps but Orton slipped out and nailed a low blow, which was legal since it’s a Cell match. Cena kicked out.
Orton went for the punt but Cena avoided it and locked on the STF. Orton fought his way to the ropes and finally made it, but since they are inside the Cell, it doesn’t force a break. Orton finally pulled himself to the floor to force it. Cena grabbed the ring steps and tossed them at Orton on the floor but Orton moved out of the way. Cena chased Orton on the floor but was sent into the ringpost.
Back in the ring, Cena shocked Orton with an Attitude Adjustment and scored a two count. Good match. They go back and forth with Orton scoring several two counts, including Orton nailing a RKO out of a Cena press-powerslam attempt. Cena nailed another AA for a two count.
Cena brought another table into the ring. Cena went to the top but Orton cut him off. The fans chanted “RKO.” Orton planned to nail an RKO off the ropes but Cena pulled him into an AA off the ropes through a table and scored the pin.
Winner: John Cena
After the match: Cena celebrates as the Hell in a Cell is raised. We see Paul Heyman looking on from the panel. Cena celebrates and greets a few fans at ringside before making his exit.
WWE Kickoff Show
It was time for The Peep Show with Christian. He brought out Chris Jericho. They went back and forth taking shots at each other over who was in charge of their former tag team. Christian mocked his clothes. Christian said that Jericho has his hands full with Randy Orton tonight. They showed the attack from Raw where Orton jumped Jericho in the training room.
Christian said that Orton’s issues with Jericho is that Jericho is everything Orton isn’t, noting that Orton is HHH’s lapdog. Orton, on the screen, showed up and said some really lame lines knocking the two. He said he beat Christian so bad, he can’t compete anymore. He said when he was done with Jericho, the only TV show he will be able to star on is Total Divas. Wow, that was lame. Jericho knew it as he said Orton would be starring in Total Jackasses and said Orton told some lame jokes. He went into Y2J promo mode ripping on Orton and promising that he would take out Randy. The Jericho promo was fun. Everything else? Eh, not so much. Orton’s verbiage was BEYOND forced. They need to let these guys and girls talk like real people because the verbiage doesn’t even sound like anything anyone would ever say in legitimate conversation, much less competition.
Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton
Orton went after Reigns but was cut off and worked over. Reigns snapped him into the corner but was shoved away. Roman nailed a big right hand then kicked him over the top to the floor. Roman followed him and slammed him into the guard rail. Reigns whipped Orton but it was reversed and Reigns was drilled into the ring steps. Orton tossed Reigns back into the ring and cinched in a side chinlock. Reigns broke free but was grabbed by his hair and snapped backwards to the mat. Orton stomped on Reigns’ hand and foot, holding his foot there after the move. Reigns fired back but was sent into the corner. He kicked Orton away and went to the top but Orton nailed him and worked him over on the turnbuckles.
Orton went for a superplex and nailed it. Randy was fought off and was caught in a sleeper but countered it with a sideslam. They went back to the chinlock. They battled to the floor. Reigns nailed his dropkick on the apron. They sent each other into the guard rails. Orton regained control, sending Reigns into the ringpost and covered Reigns for a two count. Back on the floor, Reignss was slammed on the announcer’s table and sent into the ring steps. Reigns snapped Orton’s throat across the rope as Orton reached for him in the ring. He sent Orton to the corner and brought him to the top. Orton drilled him but was caught for a Samoan Drop off the top scoring a two count.
Reigns nailed Orton with the Superman Punch and set up for the spear but was caught with the powerslam for a two count. Orton nailed the hanging DDT off the ropes. Orton set up for the RKO but was shoved off. Reigns leapt for the spear but Orton caught him with the RKO. Reigns kicked up at the last minute. Good sequence. Orton was shocked he didn’t get the win.
Orton went for the punt but Reigns got out of the way and speared him for the pin.
