Backstage: Randy says that they need to talk. He wants to know that the original plan was him versus John Cena at SummerSlam. So Roman Reigns interrupts and Brock Lesnar gets the match. Randy wants to be given his match with Cena at SummerSlam.
Hunter says that he can change the match, but he is not going to do that. As long as Roman Reigns is in the picture, he won’t get a title match. Roman will screw up all of those title matches. To get a title match, he needs to finish off Roman Reigns. Orton says that he will finish off Reigns tonight, but Hunter tells Orton that Kane is facing Reigns. Orton says that he has a problem with Kane, Reigns, . . . and Hunter.
Kane vs Roman Reigns
Orton attacks Reigns as he makes his way through the crowd. Reigns and Orton fight in the crowd and then Orton is sent over the ringside barrier. Reigns knocks Kane down and then Reigns sends Orton into the ring steps.
Reigns with a Samoan drop and then he hits a clothesline in the corner. Orton attacks Reigns from behind and Reigns with a Superman Punch to Orton. Kane with a choke slam to Reigns.
Kane looks at Orton and Orton looks at Kane. Kane leaves the ring.
Orton kicks Reigns and then he punches Reigns while he asks Reigns if he wants to steal from him. Orton with a boot to the midsection. Orton hangs Reigns across the middle ropes and then Orton kicks Reigns in the chest and then Orton pulls Reigns to the floor. Orton Irish whips Reigns into the ring steps. Orton sends Reigns into the other ring steps. Orton throws Reigns over the ringside barrier. Orton with an IEDDT from the ringside barrier.
Orton slams Reigns’ head into the ring steps. Orton rearranges the announce table, but before he shows Reigns what he did, Orton slams Reigns’ head into the ring steps a few more times. He yells at Reigns for costing him his title shot. Orton puts Reigns on the announce table and it is time for an RKO onto the announce table. Since the table did not break the first time, Orton gives Reigns a second one and the table breaks.
Randy Orton makes his way to the ring and he wants to know if we are really talking about this. He wants his one on one rematch. The rematches is what he is owed. He guarantees if he is in a one-on-one match at SummerSlam, he will beat John Cena.
Hunter says that he appreciates that confidence and while Randy makes a compelling argument about why he should get the match, he is the front runner. Hunter says that everyone will get a chance to convince him. Hunter says that he wants someone to impress him. He wants someone to go the extra mile to show him. He wants someone to show him that they want it more than anything in life. They want to be WWE Champion.
Orton says that if Kane had done his duty and done his job, Randy says that he would be standing here with these titles around his waist. Kane’s name is mentioned so ‘Who Number Two’ makes his way to the ring. Kane says that he hopes that he is being considered to face John Cena. Kane says that he knows that he can beat John Cena. He knows that he can be the one to bring the title back to the Authority. So long as he is not acting as Randy Orton’s protector. He is tired of babysitting.
Hunter has to separate Kane and Orton while ‘Who Number Three’ makes his way through the crowd.
Roman says that if you are going to have a conversation about the WWE Championship, he thinks his name should be in it. Last time he checked, no one wants to see John Cena versus Kane. Nobody want to see Randy Orton versus John Cena again. It sounds like everybody wants to see John Cena versus Roman Reigns. BELIEVE THAT. Orton takes care of Kane with a Superman Punch and Orton slides out of the ring. Hunter says that he believes that Roman Reigns is going to have a match. He believes that Roman Reigns is going to face Kane . . . and Randy Orton. He believes that this match is going to take place right now.
Kane and Randy Orton versus Roman Reigns
Orton starts off and they lock up. Orton with a kick and head butt. Reigns with a head butt of his own followed by punches in the corner. Reigns with an uppercut to Orton but Orton sends Kane to the mat. Kane tags in and Reigns gets away from Orton to prevent a double team attack.
They lock up and Kane tries to back Reigns into the corner. Kane with a knee and forearm. Reigns with a Samoan drop for a near fall. Orton tags in and Reigns with punches but Orton with a knee to the midsection followed by the Garvin Stomp. Kane tags in and he hits a drop kick on Reigns and he gets a near fall.
Dean looks around and sees Kane, Seth Rollins, and Randy Orton. Dean tries to fight off all three men, but it is too much. Dean goes after them again but Kane sends Ambrose into a metal door. Orton and Rollins send Ambrose into the door two times.
The Authority continues their attack on Ambrose and John Cena and Roman Reigns are nowhere to be found. Kane choke slams Ambrose onto a case. Ambrose asks them if that is all they got. Rollins hits Black Out on Ambrose.
Backstage: Seth Rollins, Kane, and Randy Orton talk about what they did to Dean Ambrose. Randy says they did their job well tonight. If they do their job this well on Sunday, nothing will stop him from walking out with the titles. Kane says that maybe he will win on Sunday. Kane says that he has Orton’s back if Orton has his back.
Hunter tells Kane and Orton that they can both trust each other because he does. On Sunday, the WWE Championship will come back to the Authority where it can get some stability and control. Tonight, they need to take care of business. They will need to have trust. Hunter wants to know if he is clear.
Backstage: Triple H is in the office and Randy Orton enters. Randy has to talk about Kane. He tells Hunter that nothing happened, but he has a bad vibe about Kane. Hunter says that Kane is a pawn. He is their pawn. The plan is for Orton to be the WWE Champion. Kane will stick to the plan. Orton says that there is no need for a Plan B.
John Cena and Roman Reigns versus Seth Rollins, Kane, and Randy Orton
Rollins and Cena start off and the crowd acknowledges the good and bad about Cena. Rollins with a side head lock and Cena with a shoulder tackle. Orton tags in and he puts Cena in a side head lock. Cena with a back elbow. Kane tags in Cena with a waist lock into a side head lock. Kane with a shoulder tackle and Cena backs into the corner.
Reigns tags himself in. Kane with a kick and uppercut followed by a punch but Reigns with punches. Kane with a knee and Reigns with a head butt and punch. Reigns climbs the turnbuckles and he punches Kane. Kane with an uppercut to a charging Reigns. Reigns drops Kane on the top rope and then Reigns goes to the turnbuckles and he punches Kane.
Reigns with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner. Orton is knocked off the apron and Kane with a shoulder and Rollins is tagged in. We are back and Kane with a rear chin lock on Reigns. Reigns with punches when he gets back to his feet. Kane and Reigns exchange punches. Reigns with a flying clothesline and both men are dwon. Cena and Rollins tag in and Cena with two flying shoulder tackles followed by a Blue Thunder Bomb. Cena signals for the Five Knuckle Shuffle and he hits it. Cena gets Rollins up on his shoulders but he sees Kane trying to interfere. Rollins with a drop kick. Rollins backs Cena into the corner.
Backstage: Randy Orton is in the office telling Kane that Roman Reigns had the nerve to attack him. Orton says that if anything else happened, he would have been out there. He knows that Kane has his back at Battleground. Kane says that the title is coming back to the Authority at Battleground.
Seth Rollins says that he likes the solidarity. He says that everyone needs to have each other’s back. Seth promises that he will think twice before cashing in his briefcase if either of them win the title at Battleground.
Randy says that he is starting to hate that kid. Kane says not as much as he is starting to hate Randy.
Backstage: Randy Orton walks in the back as we go to commercial.
Randy Orton versus Dean Ambrose
Ambrose dares Orton to punch him and then he tells him to cross the line. They lock up and they go into the corner. Orton tries to wrap the arm in the ropes but Ambrose gets away. Orton goes to the floor. Orton returns to the ring and Ambrose with an arm bar and then he works on the wrist. Ambrose with a hammer lock.
Orton with an elbow to the head and then Orton wrings the injured arm and he applies a hammer lock. Ambrose with a drop toe hold and then Ambrose rubs his forearm across Orton’s face. Ambrose with shoulders in the corner. Ambrose runs his forearm across the face and then he hits a short arm clothesline. Ambrose with a boot to Orton followed by a knee drop.
Orton sends Ambrose into the turnbuckles. Orton climbs the turnbuckles and then he punches Ambrose. Ambrose sends Orton into the corner and he climbs the turnbuckles for a series of punches and then he runs Orton’s face across the top rope. Ambrose with a drop kick to Orton against the ropes. Ambrose with a boot to the abdomen and then Ambrose with a figure four on the legs and then he applies a cross arm choke.
Orton with an arm drag followed by a clothesline. Orton sends Ambrose into the turnbuckles. Orton with a European uppercut followed by punches in the corner. Orton with more kicks and the referee warns Orton. Orton poses and that allows Ambrose to recover and he takes Orton to the mat and he punches him. Ambrose clotheslines Orton over the top rope and we go to commercial.
We are back and Orton with an arm bar on Ambrose. We see footage during the break of Orton sending Ambrose shoulder first into both sets of ring steps. Ambrose with a head butt, but Orton with a drop kick for a near fall. Orton with the Garvin Stomp and then he slams the arm into the mat. Orton with a Fujiwara arm bar. Orton with a knee drop with the arm trapped and he continues to work on the arm.
Ambrose punches Orton but Orton with a knee and an arm wringer. Ambrose with a DDT and both men are down. Ambrose with punches to Orton followed by a running forearm or two. Ambrose with a flying clothesline followed by punches. Ambrose with kicks in the corner. Orton tries for the back breaker but Ambrose escapes and applies a figure four leg lock.
Kane and Randy Orton versus John Cena and Roman Reigns
Orton and Cena start things off and they lock up. Orton with a side head lock. Orton with a side head lock. Orton with a side head lock and he blocks a hip toss and gives Cena one of his own. Cena stares at Reigns and tags him in. Orton looks like he is going to lock up with Reigns, but he tags in Kane.
Kane and Reigns exchange punches with Reigns getting the advantage. Reigns sends Kane over the top rope to the floor. We go to commercial.
We are back and Orton with a reverse chin lock to Reigns. We see footage from the commercial break of an Orton drop kick to Reigns. Orton sends Reigns to the mat and then he hits a running knee drop. Orotn with a boot to Reigns and Kane gets a near fall. Kane with an uppercut and he punches Reigns. Orton tags back in and he applies a reverse chin lock. Reigns with a flying clothesline and then he hits a clothesline in the corner. Reigns with a punch and then he goes to the floor for the broad jump drop kick but Kane blocks Reigns. Reigns sends Kane into the ringside barrier and Orton with a clothesline.
Orton rolls Reigns back into the ring and Kane tags back in. Kane kicks Reigns. Kane with a boot to the head and he gets a near fall. Kane with a reverse chin lock. Kane with an Irish whip but Reigns with a clothesline and both men are down. Orton tags in and he stops Reigns from making the tag with a boot to the abdomen.
Backstage: Vickie Guerrero is walking in the back and Renee Young wants to know how concerned Vickie is about having to face Stephanie McMahon. Vickie snaps at Renee but she says that he might not be the most liked in the back but she has been the most humiliated person in the history of the WWE. She is taking her dignity back. She has no regrets.
Randy Orton asks Vickie about no regrets. He says that Vickie will regret the decision she made last Monday night. She will get exactly what she deserves. Randy says that he will get what he deserves on Sunday. He says that it would be a lie if he says it was nice knowing you.
John Cena, Roman Reigns, and Sheamus versus Alberto Del Rio, Randy Orton, Cesaro, and Bray Wyatt in a In Case You Didn’t Watch Smackdown Match
Cena and Orton start things off and they lock up. Orton with a side head lock. Orton with a shoulder tackle. Orton gets distracted by fans and Cena with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Sheamus tags in and he punches Orton and sends him into the turnbuckles before punching Sheamus. Sheamus tags Cena back in and he punches Orton. Orton with a kick and Cena goes to the apron. Del Rio tags in. Del Rio with a kick to the leg followed by a punch to Cena.
Cena with an Irish whip and bulldog. Cesaro tags in and we have a test of strength. Cesaro with the advantage as he takes Cena to his knees. Cena gets back to his feet and Cena with a kick to the knee. Cena tries for a leap frog but Cesaro with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. Wyatt tags in and he kicks Cena. Wyatt with a front face lock followed by a suplex throw and then he gets a near fall.
Wyatt kicks Cena in the ribs. Wyatt dances Cena around the ring and then he hits a uranage for a near fall. Wyatt with a nerve hold on Cena. Wyatt with a back senton as we go to commercial.
We are back and Del Rio with a reverse chin lock on Cena. Cena escapes the hold but Del Rio with a kick and DDT for a near fall. Cesaro tags himself in and he kicks Cena. Cesaro teases a Giant Swing, but instead he applies a Boston Crab because the pay per view is in Boston. Cena crawls to his corner but Cesaro pulls Cena into the center of the ring. Cena tries for an STF but Cesaro kicks him away. Cesaro sets for the Neutralizer but Cena with a back body drop.
