Back at 6:22 of the match with Orton trying to suplex Barrett off the top and through the table set up in the ring. Barrett fought off and shoved Orton through the table. Cover got two at 6:55. Barrett began to focus on Orton’s back, whipping him hard into the buckle. The fight went outside the ring again, but this time, Barrett was the aggressor. He rammed Orton back-first into the apron. Back in the ring for a near-fall. Knees to the face with Orton wrapped up in the ropes, then Barrett nailed him with a running kick to the face. Orton showed signs of life at ringside and Barrett ended up in the first row of fans. They began to brawl in the aisle and through the crowd. They made it back to ringside as Barrett was clotheslined over the barricade. Barrett countered Orton and sent Orton into the ring steps. He grabbed chair and headed into the ring. He dropped the chair right between Orton’s shoulder-blades and hit him with a few more shots, this time into the mid-section. He set up for Wasteland onto the chair, but Orton got out and made his comeback. Orton picked up the chair and nailed Barrett in the back a few times. Orton set up the chair in the corner and whipped Barrett into it – he went shoulder and head first. Dropkick put Barrett down, and he rolled again to ringside. Orton threw Barrett over the announce table, then back into the ring. Vintage Orton DDT, but the RKO was countered into a Winds of Change side-slam (the name may have already been abandoned, since the announcers didn’t call it by that name). It got a two-count. Barrett got another chair and jammed it into Orton’s back. Orton snuck out of a pump-handle slam and hit the RKO. Orton looked to want one more, and he did it on the chair. That was enough to put Barrett away.

WINNER: Orton, at 16:55.

They went right backstage to Long, Bryan and AJ. Long said next week, Bryan will go one-on-one with Randy Orton. Bryan said he’s not afraid of giants or snakes. He told AJ to “stay here where you’re safe” and to “watch this.” Bryan left Long’s office and went to the ring, celebrating…something. Bryan celebrated as Orton saw him from the turnbuckle. He continued celebrating then left the ring as Orton gave him a look like, “what the heck is this guy doing?” They faded to black with Bryan on the stage, still jumping up and down.

Ziggler with an Irish whip into the corner but that means that Orton comes out with a clothesline. Orton sends Ziggler into the turnbuckles and follows it with a European uppercut. Ziggler with an uppercut followed by a drop kick to the back of the head.

We are back and Ziggler with a reverse chin lock and he gets on Orton’s back to add extra pressure. Orton runs Ziggler into the turnbuckles. Orton with an Irish whip but he runs into boots from Ziggler and Dolph gets a near fall. Ziggler misses a Stinger splash into the corner.

Orton with two clotheslines and Ziggler with a drop kick to Orton and he gets a near fall. Ziggler with a neck breaker and then he does some sit ups during the match and then he gets on the turnbuckles and Orton knocks the leg away and Ziggler is crotched. Orton looks at Vickie and then he punches Ziggler.

Orton with a superplex for a near fall. Orton blocks a punch and he punches Ziggler. Orton with two clotheslines and he ducks a clothesline from Ziggler and that means it is time for a power slam from Orton. Orton sends Ziggler to the apron for the IEDDT but Ziggler gets out of the hold and he applies the sleeper on Orton. Orton gets out of the hold and Orton with a rollup for a near fall.

Ziggler with a kick followed by the Fameasser for a near fall. Ziggler sets for another sleeper but Orton holds on to the ropes. Orton clotheslines Ziggler over the top rope and then he sends Ziggler into the ringside barrier. Orton gets Ziggler on the apron for the IEDDT and he hits it.

Orton with the RKO and he gets the three count.

We’re down to Sheamus, Jericho, Orton, and Big Show in the final four. Everyone goes after Big Show, but he fights them all off and hits Jericho with a running clothesline in the corner and a chokeslam. Orton catches Show with an RKO out of nowhere, then Orton and Sheamus pick Show up and try to dump him, Show fights Sheamus off but Orton dumps show and then Jericho dumps Orton.

Winner: Sheamus

Barrett met Orton on the aisle and they went after each other. Orton tossed Barrett in the ring – I don’t see a ref – and the two men continued brawling there. Referees emptied out of the locker room as the brawl went to ringside. Teddy Long came out and waved out Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, and Trent Barreta to try to help calm the situation. They held Orton back but the two men got loose and brawled in the ring. The Usos ran out too and Barrett was able to retreat. Aw, no agents to break it up. Orton stared at Barrett from in the ring, then RKO’d Reks, who was standing next to him. Saw that coming. Hawkins got in his face and argued, so Orton RKO’d him too. Barreta got too close and he got RKO’d. Both Usos did too. Well that’s just dumb – I’d be getting out of the ring before he could RKO me. They gave a close-up on Orton’s eyes as they went to break. Suffice to say…no match.

Orton slams Barrett’s head into the ring steps and then he stomps on Barrett’s head and gets a near fall. Orton pounds the floor for the RKO but Barrett sends Orton into the ring post and Orton holds his ankle.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we are back in the ring and Barrett punches Orton and then kicks him in the ribs. Barrett sends Orton into the turnbuckles and then he kicks Orton. Barrett gets a near fall. Barrett chokes Orton in the ropes and then he hits a series of knees followed by a running boot that knocks Orton to the floor.

Barrett gets a near fall on the floor. Barrett sends Orton into the apron but Orton punches back. Barrett with a kick and then he sends Orton into the ringside barrier. They return to the ring and Barrett gets a near fall. Orton punches Barrett and kicks him. Barrett with a big boot to the chest and he gets a near fall.

Barrett with a reverse chin lock to wear down Orton. Orton with punches but Barrett with a knee to the midsection. Barrett goes to the turnbuckles and he hits an elbow drop for a near fall. Barrett returns to the reverse chin lock. Orton punches Barrett but Barrett with a back heel kick and then he sets for the pump handle slam but Orton avoids the hold. Orton with two clotheslines and Orton avoids a clothesline from Barrett. Orton with the power slam.

Barrett gets to the floor and Orton sends Barrett over the announce table. Orton sends Barrett into the crowd and he follows. Orton sends Barrett into the ringside barrier but Barrett collides with the referee. Barrett heads towards the back but Orton follows after him and they exchange punches.

Barrett drops Orton on a catering table in the hallway. Orton sends Barrett into the top of a laundry cart and a production container. Orton sends Barrett into a table and then Orton tries to use a chair but Barrett moves out of the way.

They continue to fight into the back and the elevator arrives on their floor and Barrett tries to get away. The door does not close before Orton is able to enter. The people who were in the elevator were smart to get out of there.

Thankfully, we have high resolution cameras in the elevator and we can watch Orton and Barrett fighting as they go down. Orton punches Barrett and they have reached their destination. More people flee while the battle continues.

They have made their way down the exit ramp and we see Orton at the bottom of the stairs and Barrett looks at what he has done and he leaves.

We go to credits with Orton holding his elbow while in a lot of pain.

Although the full extent of The Viper’s injury remains to be seen, WWE physician Dr. Michael Sampson examined Orton and updated WWE.com about his condition.

“Randy suffered a herniated disc on the L4-L5 level on the left side, and that’s resulting in pain and weakness down his leg.” Dr. Sampson explained. “He’s going to need some time off for rehab, anti-inflammatory medications and physical therapy.”

Sheamus is scheduled to replace The Viper in Street Fights against Wade Barrett at WWE live events this week.

#21: Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes from SmackDown
The November 4th Street Fight between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes will go down as one the most brutal beat downs of the year. Reigniting a rivalry that began when their Legacy faction fell apart, The Viper and his former protégé tortured one another throughout the ringside area. It was a test of will for Rhodes, who spilled serious amounts of plasma after getting blasted in the head with the sharp edge of a monitor, but Cody could not beat the man who taught him every dirty trick in the book. In the end, Orton won with two RKOs before slipping a paper bag onto the ravaged face of his former ally.

#18: Randy Orton vs. CM Punk from Extreme Rules
Before delivering an uncensored interview that would change the course of his WWE career, CM Punk was desperately trying to piece together a frayed Nexus that had unraveled under Wade Barrett. Looking to reestablish his crew’s reputation at the expense of Randy Orton, The Second City Savior entered Extreme Rules in May to face The Viper in a Last Man Standing Match. Of course, the slimy leader planned for New Nexus to do the dirty work for him, but that plot fell apart when Mason Ryan and company were barred from ringside, leaving Punk all alone with WWE’s Apex Predator. Amidst a barrage of kendo sticks, chairs, exposed turnbuckles and steel steps, Orton reigned supreme, executing a jaw dropping RKO on The Straight Edge Superstar from the top rope that put him out for the count.

#16: World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton vs. U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler from Raw
It was a blast for the WWE Universe when the World Heavyweight Champion and United States Champion met on one of the first Raw SuperShows under COO Triple H. Despite the lack of bad blood between the competitors — and with Orton nearing a title bout against Christian — The Viper and the self-styled showoff clashed like their careers were on the line. Ziggler put up a championship-worthy fight, stopping Orton in his tracks with a superkick as WWE’s Apex Predator ran in for a punt, delivering a Zig-Zag outside the ring and nearly sealing the contest by reversing the RKO into a sleeper hold. In the end, though, it wasn’t enough, as Orton tossed his opponent into the air and administered the RKO to seal Ziggler’s fate.

#14: Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett from WWE TLC
In the midst of a career resurgence he dubbed the “Barrett Barrage,” the thuggish Wade Barrett had either the guts or foolishness to target the biggest dog on SmackDown — Randy Orton. Trashing Baltimore’s 1st Mariner Arena against The Viper in a Tables Match, the British Superstar nearly lost an eye when WWE’s Apex Predator sent a jagged edge of wood into his brow. Foggy from there, Barrett attempted to put Orton through a table by diving off the top rope and ended up getting RKO’d right through the pine by his venomous rival. It was a fighting effort from Barrett, but a brutal reminder of the fact that if you come at the king, you better not miss.

#04: Raw Elimination Chamber Match
They say there are no atheists in foxholes. Same goes for the Elimination Chamber. Dubbed The Devil’s Playground for good reason, the satanic structure houses six Superstars inside ten tons of twisted metal, jagged steel and bulletproof glass. But, like any great battlefield, the chamber has become a place of glory that serves as a testament to the cunning or power of the Superstar who survives it. For John Cena, it has been such a place on three occasions, including this February 20 war against Sheamus, CM Punk, Randy Orton, John Morrison and R-Truth. Determined to earn a WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania, the Cenation leader persevered before finally eliminating Punk to earn his showdown with The Miz on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

#03: World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton vs. Christian from Over the Limit
When two established Superstars meet with a title on the line, WWE fans can expect fireworks. They would not be disappointed at Over the Limit in May. In a gripping match for the World Heavyweight Championship, Randy Orton and Christian continued their rivalry to dueling cheers of “Let’s go Orton/Let’s go Christian.” Desperate to get his title back, Captain Charisma came out strong, but WWE’s Apex Predator battled back with a DDT and a powerslam. Finally, The Viper was able to counter Christian’s Killswitch attempt with an RKO, sealing the win and sending his opponent into a downward spiral from which he still hasn’t recovered.

Orton chases after Barrett and they fight through the back in front of some onlookers. Orton continues to chase after Barrett until they get into the garage. Orton sends Barrett into a chain link fence and then he kicks him over a railing. Orton sees a hose and he decides to clean Barrett. Orton sends Barrett over a table and then he pours the contents of a trash can on Barrett. Orton sends Barrett onto the hood of a car and then he walks over Barrett’s chest as Orton slams Barrett’s head onto the roof of the car. Orton looks at Barrett and then he hits an RKO on the roof.

Match Number One: Randy Orton versus Wade Barrett in a TLC Rematch
Barrett with elbows and punches in the corner. Orton pushes Barrett away but Barrett continues the attack with more punches and kicks. Barrett with an Irish whip but Orton comes out of the corner with an Irish whip. Orton with a punch and European uppercuts. Orton punches Barrett in the corner but Barrett gets out of the corner. Orton with a drop kick.

Orton gets a near fall. Orton checks his knee and then he runs his knee against Barrett’s head. They go to the floor and Barrett and Orton exchange punches. Orton sends Barrett into the apron but Barrett with a back heel kick. Barrett wants to drop Orton on the ringside barrier and he does it. Barrett with a running boot to the head.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Barrett kicks Orton and then he puts Randy in the ropes and connects with a series of knees. Barrett with a running boot that sends Orton to the floor. Barrett goes to the floor and he picks up Orton and runs him into the apron. Barrett gets a near fall when they return to the ring. Barrett with a reverse chin lock.

Orton punches Barrett but Barrett with a back heel kick but Orton blocks it and he hits two clotheslines but avoids one from Barrett so it is power slam time. Orton sets for the IEDDT but Barrett gets into the ring and he sets for Wasteland. Orton escapes the hold and hits a back breaker.

Orton with a kick followed by the IEDDT that succeeds. Orton twists into the RKO position but Barrett with a thumb to the eye and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Randy Orton by disqualification

After the match, Barrett with a clothesline followed by punches. Barrett with kicks followed by the Winds of Change. Barrett leaves the ring and then he looks under the ring and he sees a table. Barrett pushes the table into the ring and he sets it up while Orton struggles to get to his feet.

Barrett sees Orton get to his feet and Wade with a boot to the head. Barrett gets Orton on his shoulders and Barrett with Wasteland through the table.

On the floor, Orton sent Barrett into the ring steps. He started to crawl towards the aisle as Orton set up a table up on the floor. Orton chased Barrett towards the entranceway but was caught with a kick. Barrett tried to nail a pumphandle slam through a table but Orton slipped out and kicked him. Barrett flipped the table over to prevent being put through it. Orton chased him back towards ringside, nailing him into the apron and then teasing he was going to do a move off the stairs through a table. He went for a suplex but Barrett blocked and posted Orton into the ringpost. Barrett followed that up with a big boot on the floor.

Barrett brought several tables into the ring as Orton recovered on the floor. He continued working over Orton on the floor and slammed his head into a table. Barrett placed Orton on a table on the outside and climbed the ropes outside. Orton rolled off the table but Barrett attacked him and continued working over Orton. He rolled Randy back into the ring and went to the ropes. Barrett came off with an elbow off the middle turnbuckle, then choked Orton against the ropes. He trapped Orton in the ropes and drilled him with a series of knee strikes. Orton was hanging precariously in the ropes. Barrett tried to nail a big boot, sending Orton through a table on the floor but Orton’s leg caught the ropes and saved him.

Barrett placed a table in one of the corners and teased an over the shoulder powerslam into it. Orton slipped out and nailed a series of clotheslines and a powerslam. Orton went for the hanging DDT but Barrett slipped out and sent Orton over the top to the apron. He went for a big boot but crotched himself. They battled on the apron and Barrett went for Wasteland. Orton fought out of it and caught Barrett with the hanging DDT.

Orton began calling for the RKO. Barrett sent him off into the table but Orton cut himself off. Barrett caught Orton with the Black Hole Slam. He slammed the table over the prone Orton. Barrett set up a table near one of the corners. He draped Orton facedown on the table and went to the ropes. Barrett came off the ropes with a dive but Orton popped up and caught him with the RKO through the table for the win.

Most men would steer clear of such a malevolent creature but Wade Barrett has proven himself to be bolder than most men. Since winning WWE NXT’s inaugural season, Barrett has managed to work his way up WWE’s food chain, first as the leader of The Nexus, then as founder of The Corre and now as the one man “Barrett Barrage.” The former bare-knuckled fighting champion is looking to knock off Randy Orton as WWE’s “Apex Predator.”

In Liverpool, England, on SmackDown, Barrett managed to escape the RKO and used a thumb to Orton’s eye to steal a victory. If that weren’t enough, Team Barrett outlasted Team Orton at Survivor Series when Barrett pinned The Viper with the help of his fellow survivor, Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes.

Since then, the British grappler has been stalking Orton and has made it clear that he feels beating the youngest World Heavyweight Champion once and for all will clear his path to holding that same prize.

On the Dec. 9 edition of SmackDown, Randy Orton defeated Dolph Ziggler faster than Wade Barrett, and as a result of that Beat The Clock challenge, won the right to choose the stipulation for their match at TLC. Without a word being spoken, Barrett “suggested” a Tables Match and Orton “agreed” at the expense of Ziggler.

Will it be Orton or Barrett looking over a broken table and possibly also the broken body and spirit of their opponent? We’ll find out on Dec. 18 at TLC.

Randy Orton and Zack Ryder versus Wade Barrett and Dolph Ziggler with Vickie Guerrero
Ziggler and Ryder start things off and Ziggler with a kick and elbow followed by a side head lock take down. Ryder with a near fall on a rollup. Ziggler with a shoulder tackle but Ryder with a flapjack for a near fall. Orton tags in and Randy with a kick to the ribs. Orton with a forearm across the chest followed by a boot to the head.

Orton with a boot to the midsection and then he goes for the Garvin Stomp. Orton with a suplex to Ziggler. Ryder tags in and he punches Ziggler followed by a head butt. Ziggler with a forearm and he tags in Barrett. Barrett with a kick to Ryder and the referee warns him. Barrett with punches and a head butt and he gets a near fall.

Ryder with a kick and a forearm into the corner. Orton tags in and Barrett quickly tags in Ziggler. Ziggler with a kick and punch to the head followed by an elbow. Ziggler with an Irish whip but Orton with a clothesline and then he punches Barrett. Ziggler attacks Orton from behind. Ziggler with a punch and he avoids the back breaker but Ziggler with a drop kick and Ziggler goes to the floor as we go to commercial.

We are back and Orton is punching Ziggler in the corner followed by a European uppercut. Orton with a leaping knee drop for a near fall. Ziggler with a kick and Barrett tags in. Ziggler goes to the floor because Orton did not see the tag. That allows Barrett to connect with a big boot and then he punches Orton.

Barrett with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall. Barrett with a chin lock into a reverse chin lock. Barrett with a knee to the midsection and Ziggler is tagged in and Ziggler with a boot to Orton and then Ziggler with a leaping elbow drop for a near fall. Ziggler with a kick to Orton’s head.

Orton punches and kicks Ziggler but Ziggler with a drop kick for a near fall. Barrett tags in and he stomps on the ribs. Barrett with a punch but Orton with a spinning belly-to-back suplex and both men are down. Ryder tags in and he hits a flying forearm but Barrett with an Irish whip. Ryder gets his feet up and then he connects with the running boot. Barrett avoids the Rough Ryder and Ziggler punches Ryder as he comes toward his corner.

Ziggler tags in and he punches Ryder. Ryder with a rollup for a near fall. Ziggler with a single leg crab as Ryder tries to make the tag. Ziggler with a leaping elbow drop and then he tags Barrett back in. Barrett gets a near fall. Barrett with a reverse chin lock. Barrett stops Ryder from making the tag. Barrett wants to hit Wasteland but Ryder counters with a DDT.

Ziggler and Orton tag in. Orton with two clotheslines followed by Orton avoiding one and hitting the power slam. Orton with a neck breaker from a back breaker on the shoulder for a near fall. Ryder sends Barrett over the top to the floor. Barrett Irish whips Ryder into the ringside barrier.

Ziggler with a rollup for a near fall. Ziggler then tries for a Fameasser but Orton avoids it and Orton hits the RKO for the three count while he looks at Barrett at ringside.

Randy Orton was destined for a career in sports entertainment. After all, not every WWE Superstar can claim the title of “Youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE History”. Then again, Randy Orton is also one of the only third-generation Superstars in WWE history. The son of WWE Hall of Famer “Cowboy” Bob Orton, nephew of Barry “Barry O” Orton and grandson of “The Big O” Bob Orton, Randy comes from a distinctive bloodline.

Randy’s childhood memories include sitting in the kitchen of his family’s St. Louis home with “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, and repairing a broken banister leaned on by Andre the Giant. He wasn’t even five years old when he watched his father knock out “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff in the main event at the inaugural WrestleMania, and he already knew he wanted to be a WWE Superstar.
Randy’s star rose when he won the World Heavyweight Championship at the unprecedented age of 24. Today the WWE’s “Apex Predator” is known as one of the very best inside the ring, and he is appreciated for his work by fans and peers alike.

In 2011, Randy co-starred alongside Academy Award Nominee Ed Harris, Chace Ellison, Mia Rose Frampton and Amy Madigan in the coming of age drama That’s What I Am from WWE Studios. Orton plays the vindictive father of a bully and makes Ed Harris’ character the target of a malicious rumor. Orton’s performance was noted as “Pitch Perfect” by Variety Magazine.

This third generation Superstar continues to make his mark outside of the ring with ratings grabbing appearances on Lopez Tonight and Jimmy Kimmel Live. He also is very active with the Make – A – Wish Foundation; which grants wishes to sick and terminally ill children.
