Captures will be uploaded soon, stay tuned.

Locker room: Randy Orton was focused and staring into space. Cody Rhodes then walked in and said they’ve done too much and gone too far for the group to slip away. Cody said they know Orton can beat Sheamus and win back the title. He said he’ll be there for him. Cody then looked away and said he wishes he could say the same for Ted DiBiase. Cody said Ted hasn’t been the same since his movie came out and all he talks about is winning the Rumble match and going on to Mania to beat Orton for the WWE Title. Cody told Orton he can count on him. He slapped Orton on the back and walked off to leave Orton with his thoughts.

Backstage: Randy Orton was walking down the hallway, then Ted DiBiase walked up to him and said he has his back. DiBiase said he can’t even talk to Cody right now. He said Cody’s been talking about winning the Rumble and facing Sheamus at Mania, even counting Orton out. Orton had enough of their games and said he’s going to win against Sheamus and he doesn’t want their help.

In-ring: WWE champ Sheamus came to the ring to near-unanimous boos. Randy Orton then came out to a smattering of cheers, but mainly boos as Cole made sure Orton was presented as a heel too. Lawler said it’s a battle of un-likeable wrestlers. Justin Roberts then handled the formal ring intros. Orton was about 90 percent cheered. He didn’t acknowledge, though. Sheamus was the clear heel with the crowd.

WWE champion SHEAMUS vs. RANDY ORTON — WWE Title match
The bell sounded and they faced off without locking up. A chant of “Randy, Randy” started the action before they came together and blocked each other’s shoulder tackle attempts. Orton then hit a standing dropkick and teased the RKO before slithering backward from a defensive Sheamus. Orton then nailed a standing uppercut and Sheamus came right back with a big Polish hammer blow to the face. Sheamus knocked Orton to the floor with a shoulder attack and followed on the floor with uppercuts. Orton returned to the ring holding his shoulder before luring Sheamus into an attack on the left knee. Orton dissected Sheamus’s leg and continued his attack with methodical work in the ring and on the ring apron. Striker explained to the audience the pro-Orton crowd by saying there is a certain respect and familiarity with Orton. Sheamus then found an opening in Orton’s methodical attack to go back to working the left shoulder looking for a submission. They came to their feet and began an exchange of standing right hand blows. After they threw bombs, Sheamus caught Orton off the ropes for a big swinging backbreaker across his knee for a close two count.

Just before 10:00, Sheamus pounded his chest and measured Orton for his finishing move. Sheamus wanted the running Outsider’s Edge, but Orton slipped out and kicked Sheamus out of the ring to the floor. Orton then grappled Sheamus back in the ring and held him across the middle rope for a spike DDT that the crowd popped for. Orton made a cover, but Sheamus grabbed the bottom rope for a two count. The crowd came to life as Orton stalked Sheamus before slowly backing away. He measured the champ for The Punt, but Sheamus rolled to the outside. Orton gave chase and landed a European uppercut. Sheamus then ran him into the ringpost, though, and smashed his shoulder into the post. Suddenly, Cody Rhodes jumped the security rail and blasted Sheamus from behind. The ref reprimanded Cody, but the match continued. Back in the ring, Orton hit the RKO on Sheamus. Ref Armstrong then casually walked over to the ring announcer and called for a DQ as Orton was making a cover.

Post-match: Sheamus was announced as the winner via DQ as Cody freaked out ringside afterhis mistake. Cody then entered the ring and tried to explain himself to Orton, who slowly, slowly, slowly absorbed the situation and stared down Cody. Orton then reached back and popped Cody in the face, which drew a crowd pop. Orton then punched Cody multiple times until Ted DiBiase stormed the ring. DiBiase tried to intervene, but Orton punched Ted down to the mat to another pop. Orton shouted, “You’re done, you screwed it up!” at both of them. Orton then got up and the crowd was yelling as Sheamus stood in the background. Orton then turned around and ate a running bicycle kick to the head from Sheamus. Smack. Sheamus picked up his WWE Title belt and walked out of the ring as Cody and Ted simply looked at Orton from the corner. Orton was KO’ed in the ring as Ted and Cody walked out unsure what to do or how to handle the situation. After the announcers narrated replays, they showed Orton checking his jaw in pain on the mat.

WINNER: Sheamus via DQ at 12:27.

Wow that totally sucked! I’m assuming this is the end of Legacy…as if “You’re Done!” wasnt enough. Wonder whats going to be next since Ted and Cody wont win the Rumble. I guess we’re just going to see a Legacy break-up feud. ??? Whatever happens, I hope its good.

Well I pretty much knew this was going to happen. I knew that Shaemus wasn’t going to drop the WWE title so soon and didn’t expect a clean win. I’m all for Legacy tension and hoping for one hell of a storyline(I doubt I’ll get one by I cross my fingers anyway). Can’t wait to see RAW tomorrow.

Eh. I can now go further with my thoughts but I do echo my earlier sentiments when I simply said “boo”. Alright, so we all knew the Legacy split was coming but I really hope WWE doesn’t drop the ball with the storyline.

We aren’t going to see Randy in the title picture for a while (of course, he might be included in the RAW chamber match in 3 weeks but he will just be an added person in the match to take up space), so the WWE better have big plans for the Legacy storyline.

And it has to happen slow and with thought because WMania is 56 days away. You have the potential to build an epic feud in that time, so WWE needs to do this wisely.

Of course, in the end though, I am upset about how Orton is being booked currently but I can only try and deal with what we are given.

Well….I don’t like that Randy lost. Hopefully he’ll get another chance at the EC. But frankly, I don’t think he’ll win it back even then if they’re going to stick with a break-up feud with Legacy. He could ask for a rematch against Sheamus while developing a fued with Ted and Cody, but that’s I think too much. If they are going for the break-up feud, I’d really rather have it a three-way split, just to give Ted and Cody equal pushes.

But…Randy’s gonna probably beat them up first thing tomorrow night. LOL

THE HELL?!!!! I…. Okay.

So basically, NO ONE cared about the outcome of this match. I mean really, it was all about Legacy. lol Sheamus winning by DQ and getting his foot in at the end did NOTHING for him. I think it’s safe to say that 99.99% of WWE fans are watching Raw JUST to see what Randy does to Legacy or vice versa.

I’m not happy – AT ALL- with the fact that RKO lost the match, but he’ll get his title back soon enough. In fact, even THAT’S taken a backseat to Legacy’s breakdown. I really like where it’s headed. It’s shaping up to be a nice long feud. But as AK127 says, Sheamus as Champ isn’t helping any. RKO should be champ and have this Legacy feud be a three way split. But hey! It might be interesting if the feud starts to involve someone else. Oh and a EC, RKO isn’t going to win. Just saying people. I mean I can almost HEAR Vince whining about HHH not being WWE Champ! I know I don’t want that either. Anyways, I hope RKO becomes Champ at WM – - – before that would be great! XD

RKO FOR LIFE!!!!!

I’m a HUGE Randy Orton Fan! I wanted him to RKO Sheamus and win back the championship, but I also knew that wasn’t going to happen since the break up needs to happen. WWE got things started off right tonight, but it would have been better to see DiBiase not Rhodes be the one costing Orton the belt. I say that, because it’s being rumored that Orton vs DiBiase will be taking place at WM 26.
As witnessed by the crown who is gaining an appreciation for Orton, it’s a shame that DiBiase (because of his dvd) will come out this as the babyface and not Orton. Orton will be in the RAW Elimination Chambe, but won win. I’m all for an Orton face turn due to the crowd reaction of late, but Rhodes and DiBiase have to turn on Orton which will be vice versa tomorrow night on Raw.

@Judy: Word! My thoughts exactly! For serious, I couldn’t have said it better. I can bitch and moan about how much I hate the situation but it doesn’t change anything. I rather just see what happens and at least try to enjoy it. Randy was champion 3 times during 2009 so I don’t see him being champ again anytime soon. Especially since his last reigns as champion were pretty lenghty compared to the others.

When was the last time Randy was in an elimation chamber?? 2003?

I’m just looking forward to a good Legacy feud. Fans were getting interested in that for a while, at least I was, and then it just disappeared then came back last Monday. They WWE writers are so random. Hopefully their ADD doesn’t hurt this quiet possibly golden opportunity for a well played out feud.

Joel I agree with everything you said. HHH will be victorious at EC, because he hasn’t held the belt in forever. Orton will be included, but not being a major factor (which is STUPID). Last few title reigns that Orton has had each one has gotten better and better along with the crowd cheering him more and more. Grant it he had to be the face cause of nobody like Sheamus (HHH Pupil). I will be one of those 99.9% fans tuning into Raw just to see what happens between Legacy.

@Gen: LOL. I love that The writers “ADD”. You hit the nail on the head. They always seem to lose track of things and pick them up again at random moments. Sometimes, they get luck and their randomness actually works out. Other times, it just seems like they are fishing for ideas. Let us all hope that they really have something suitable planned out. Nearly two months is a long time to build a feud (IF we are looking at an Orton/Legacy feud) but two months is also golden when you do things correctly. Not every feud needs to be booked within three weeks. This is the chance for some really great storytelling, mic work, matches, and so on. I just hope they do it right.

Not happy that Randy lost and Legacy breaking up is just too sad I love them together, but if them having a feud means we get to see more and more of them on screen then I’m all for that. I think that Randy will win his title back at the elimination chamber any way as it is in his home town and that would be great for him!

I am really annoyed that randy lost but i am really confused that everyone thinks that’s randy out the title picture listen wwe might be dum in letting Sheamus walk away with the wwe title but they are not mad there is no way that Sheamus will walk out with the title at no way out also yes legucy will be splitting up but orton could beat them up in the chamber and them win also edge won the royal rumble and hes on smackdowen so nothing is fixed also shwan eliminated triple h chances are they will be a feud there so the only one left is super cena so who knows orton could fight him at wrestlemania one thing for sure there is no chance orton out the title picture in fact he could win it in his home town so everyone who says ortons out no chance all this means is when orton wins the wwe title which will be very soon he will have two new challengers ted and cody and both will get punted in the skull

Joel: You’re so right. I’m positive most people will watch Raw just to see Randy go off on Legacy.

I think this feud with Legacy is going to work out great…assuming WWE plays their cards right. It will also give Ted and Cody a seperate and somewhat equal push. Hopefully this wont just be a 2-3 month feud, but will be one that they can build on like the Orton v HHH feud. I’m not saying I want it to be completely boring and repetitive like that one was at times. But it sure would make some good matches.

This whole Seamus being WWE Champ isnt working out so well…

RKO FOR WWE CHAMPION!!!

I just saw the match, and although I was not too thrilled with the outcome, I have to say there was one definite highlight in this match for me…..Did anyone notice the intense cheers for Randy??!!!! It was awesome! Finally!!!

Also I’m lovin’ Matt Stryker! He’s a great heel commentator, the way Bobby Heehnan and Jerry Lawler used to be. I loved his comments about Randy always striving to be the best, lololol. I also loved how the assessment about Sheamus’ skin color compared to Randy’s was finally made, lololol…..It was a great match, finally Randy was highlighted and appreciated, I just wish the outcome would have been a bit different.

One more assessment that was constantly commented on was the fact that you can see the brain ticking on Randy’s face, just by seeing the look in his eyes. That’s was definitely highlight’s Randy’s persona over all the rest of the heels in WWE and wrestling today, he can really look the part without having to say anything. Sheamus kept beating his chest like a barbarian every three seconds and all Randy would do was stare with this deathly look,…..It was mind blowing!!!! Keep up the great work Randy!!!!

To Dalia-

To make a long story short, before the match, Randy specifically told Ted that his did not want Legacy’s help to beat Sheamus. He was going to do it on his own. During the match, Randy pretty much had it almost won when Cody appeared out of nowhere from the audience and attacked Sheamus right in the view of the referee. The Ref decided to disqualify Randy and Sheamus won the match and retained his title. You can probably guess how Randy reacted towards Cody (and Ted who tried to calm Randy down later on), lolol.
