Former WWE Diva and Diva of the Decade, Trish Status recently did a with Desi Live where she was asked who she thought was the best wrestler in pro wrestling right now, and this is what she had to say.

Interviewer: Besides yourself, the best wrestler in pro wrestling today?
Trish: I most enjoy Randy Orton right now. I think he’s really charismatic. I really enjoy his matches. He is the most wonderful seller, like, the way he sells a move is just money. I’m enjoying his stuff right now.

Interviewer: Do you think he could be a good guy though? I don’t know if he has like, a personality like The Rock or anybody.
Trish: I think he could. I think he’ll get so over as a heel, that it’ll just be a natural thing that a heel turn into a a really good guy. And I think he’ll be good at it.

As much as I appreciate Trish’s comments, Randy being face… not flying with me. I have NO DOUBT that he’ll be an awesome face, but I’ll be REALLY selfish and say that I like him better as a heel.

No. Actually, I LOVE HIM AS A HEEL. As a face he has to do “good-guy” stuff…ech. And even if he does manage to pull of the anti-hero act (in this kid era), I honestly can’t say that I’ll be a happy camper.

However, whatever Randy decides to do – be it turning to face, or staying heel for a little while longer – I will (as I have always done) be on Team Orton!

Randy was born to be Heel. But try to remember the time when he was a good guy , he was young. I don’t know if turning to a good guy is a good idea but i think that if that will happen Randy will have the same features like The Rock and he can be better than The Rock.

Randy Orton beating the living hell out of whoever he’s facing in matches for their previous humiliating him, antagonizing him, embarrassing him…. like Cena, Kingston, HHH, have…. that’s even BETTER THAN INCREDIBLY AWESOME!!!!

Randy as a face? No! I like him as a heel much more better! Hes amazing heel! He plays it so perfect! I agree with Joel 100% and Trish is reallykind by teling such good things about him. Now hes one of the best wretlers and if not him wwe would much more boring.
So give a big respect for amazinf wrestler, heel and uncomming wwe hall of famer randy Orton!

randy is indeed the best wrestler in the wwe…thats all i have to say on this subject.

It’s pretty cool that Trish considers Randy one of best wrestler’s in the industry today. Randy works hard to make his character as realistic as possible, and for a future hall of famer like Trish to give him props could be considered one of the greatest compliments a wrestler could receive.
Not sure about the face idea, although Randy could sell it. With all that he has done this year I love him more as a heel.

@VEGAS – we all wish to be in sam’s place lol and he is the best in the business right now, the only reason i watch to be honest

One of my favorite recent moments when Orton seemed to turn face was the tag team match _Orton & Cena versus the entire RAW locker room_ (2 years ago?). The synergy was off the roof and The FURKO (aka The Attitude Adjustment by Cena into an elevated RKO by Orton) is a devastating finisher. Based upon his personal interviews, Orton has strong family values, especially when it comes to his wife, daughter, and father. Perhaps WWE writers can use that to put him over as face in a storyline. *wink*

I agree, if Randy turns face and forms a tag with real life BFF John Cena.. They’ll be unstoppable. That Cena/Orton vs Raw Roster match was just incredible, these two have amazing chemistry, they know each other well, know each other’s moves, so it’ll be reasonable to turn Randy face and team him up with the biggest face right now – Cena. OR, turn Cena heel and team him with the biggest heel – Randy. But let’s be honest, the time Cena turns heel will be the time WWE lifts the stupid PG era from our TVs.

Major props to Trish for acknowledging the hard work Randy has to put in every week to make his character come to life. He’s def the most hardworking wrestler there is now, his persona is so hard to capture, and Randy does it brilliantly.
