Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston
Orton circled Kofi, but Kingston did not back down. They traded slaps and Orton sent Kingston to the corner, pounding him down with fists. Crowd got into Kofi early and Kingston came back with an uppercut, then a high dropkick. Over the top went Orton and Kofi followed him, throwing him back into the ring. Legacy ran to ringside. That distracted Kofi, who low-bridged Orton to the outside and onto the others. He then dove through the ropes and onto them. Legacy re-grouped and surrounded the ring. Ozzy came on the Titan-Tron and said he knew this was going to happen, and Sharon turned it into a six-man tag. MVP and Mark Henry joined the action. The original match went less than three minutes. The six-man will start up next.

Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase vs. Kofi Kingston, MVP & Mark Henry

I like them separately, but I have a hard time getting excited about the tandem of Henry and MVP. Kofi fought off pretty much all of Legacy as the show returned, match in progress. Kofi and MVP did both of their pet moves at the same time on a prone DiBiase for two. Henry tagged in and headbutted DiBiase. Teddy went low to the knee of Henry, then tagged Rhodes. Their double-team had little effect, as he clotheslined both men. Is the moniker “World’s Strongest Man” like the term “President,” where even if you’re no longer it, they still call you it, and not “former”? Because Henry was strongest man like 15 years ago. Anyway, MVP came in and took the brunt of Legacy’s punishment for a while. High dropkick by Rhodes after MVP fought out of a rest-hold. Standing dropkick from Orton for two. Orton trademark chin-lock as MVP’s partners tried to get the fans behind him. MVP with a clothesline and both men were down. Orton attacked Kofi before he could connect with MVP, and Orton subsequently dragged MVP to the heel corner. Tag into DiBiase, who was greeted with an overhead throw from Henry. Henry cleaned house until Orton went after the knee. He was going for the RKO, but Kofi dropkicked him. Rhodes to the top- he jumped into Henry’s arms, not showing much sagacity on that one. World’s Strongest Slam by Henry and it’s over.
Winners: Kingston, Henry and MVP, 6:49

Okay… WHAT THE HELL IS WWE DOING?!!! I recall saying something a while back and I think I’ll repeat: Ted and Cody need to feud with UP AND COMING superstars. Kofi is a good start, but what the hell is with the other two rejects?? Now I’m no racist, or any such crappy person, but I can not STAND for the greatness that is Randy to be put off by a couple of turds like MVShe, his wife, and the fake Jamaican! IT’S SOOO ANNOYING!!!!!! Again, let me say, I AM NOT RACIST so don’t go taking my comments as such!!!!!

Aside from that even, Legacy is the future of WWE so what’s with them being constantly whipped week after week after week after week??? First by D-X, then Cena, and now the merry band trio of Kofi, MVP and Henry??? Honestly, the ONLY REASON I STILL WATCH WWE RAW IS BECAUSE OF RANDY ORTON!!!! They better stop messing up his character like this or else I’m going to tread over there and knock Vince in the skull with a crowbar after I’ve plowed through everyone else on Raw!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!

RKO STILL RULES AND WILL ALWAYS RULE!!!!! KILL ‘EM ALL RANDY I’VE GOT YOUR BACK!!!!!! TEAM ORTON IS THE BEST!!!!!!

What are they doing with Randy? I understand he needed to drop the title so that the feud with Cena could end. I also understand the need to build new stars, so a feud with Kofi could be decent and even fun. But, why are they treating Randy like a mid-card wrestler now? He lost the belt, got his car trashed, and now his team loses a six man tag on Raw. And to think, less than 2 weeks ago, he was Raw’s top heel. Why are they treating him so bad?

Joel, I feel ya man. Same with you Judy. I don’t understand why the great Randy Orton and Legacy has to job to that motley crüe. Sure its building up on what would probably be a match at survivor series…but Really? REAlly? REALLY? (sorry for sounding like The Miz) that’s how you book their match? You have Randy and Legacy completely demolished?!

Randy IS Raw, no matter how they make Cena the hero babyface.

I would’ve settled with a no contest with Legacy doing something illegal than get a clean pin off of them.

Anyway, Randy looked great still…like when does he not, right?

He always looks great :) I just want regular fans to take him seriously and know that he is the dominant heel on Raw. Even as a major fan, I get that he can’t be in the main event all the time but I just wish that when he isn’t, WWE is smart and at least lets him look strong. A credible heel needs to look strong, even if they are trying to build other stars and taking a break from the championship scene.

Please WWE, book Randy a bit better. Remember- he is the future of the company! And he comes through for you with brilliant matches and promos week in and week out.

I agree with everyone…but let’s just go ahead and get it out there that the WWE needs NEW WRITERS because some of the best storylines were from late ’98 to 2001 and now it’s like their dying a slow DEATH (they didn’t become the longest running show because of always CATERING to the FACES of the business, but the betrayal and divious storylines of the past.) After the diva trade, how in the world does the #1 show have more (non-wrestling) divas and smackdown has majority of the true divas (women wrestlers) (i.e., the battle royal from last night proves my point.) Hopefully within the next few months they can get back to what is best for the WWE universe and stick with making better matches and storylines for the years to come.

Attempting to elevate Kofi by pairing him with Randy probably isn’t going to work. I hate to suggest looking back at The Miz’s abysmal “feud” with John Cena as an example in my argument, though, because an arrogant, upstart heel against a beloved face is another scenario completely. But it was a case, nonetheless, that pitted someone little against someone huge, and the little one got demolished. This particular feud started well last week: we had motives for revenge on both sides and the promise of an entertaining match. But then this week we didn’t get a promo from Randy about, well, any of it, just straight into the match that turned into a loss for Legacy. The tag match add on was completey unecessary so soon; if we had to have it, it should have been after Legacy had screwed Kofi over in the original match. Now we have all these people involved in a feud that should have just been Randy kicking Kofi’s butt and beginning his return to unbeatable heel status, because that’s what needs to happen. If it ends up that way down the road, I’ll be happy.

Raw was really boring and I know now survivor series is going to be rubbish to stupid teams against the champion why not just call it a handycap match I like taker and hope he wins as for cena I actually hope hbk or even hhh wins and put that idiot out for a very long time and orton then challenges for the title I think raw now until survivor series will be rubbish probably with randy losing as wwe wants to make kofi look like a serious challenger for orton and at survivor series it will be randy vs kofi with randy winning I mean come on Kofi could never beat randy so I am looking forward to after survivor series where hopefully orton takes back what is his the wwe title

i agree with everybody…i think since randy lost the title raw is really boring…for more that i want randy feuding with other people…he needs to be on top…this dx vs cena at survivor series doesn’t make any sense to me..anf him not being the main event sucks.

what the hell was this 6 man tag team match? completely unnecessary..and more…i’m getting really sick with dx on comand…it is like raw is all about them…and superhero cena

Raw kinda sucked last night. I thought that having Ozzy and Sharon host would do something for the show, but it didn’t. And this whole Randy/Kofi feud….not feeling it. Randy could take down any day of the week, but WWE keeps pushing him down a midcard spot. Don’t get me wrong, Kofi is extremely talented, but I don’t believe in making one wrestler look weak just to make another look strong.
Randy is definitely the future of the wrestling business and he should be allowed to show his true abilities….therefore he should be treated better

I was kinda feeling this Orton v Kofi feud, but they went and ruined it by bringing in MVP and Henry. I mean ya I see WWE is trying to move Kofi to a main stream, but it seems like their moving Orton down to mid-card instead. If anything they should’ve let Legacy win as revenge for trashing that awesome NASCAR, or just win for just simply being better. Your pick.

Randy’s going to get him next time I know it! I HATE MARK HENRY but Kofi and MVP are good wrestlers but anyways Orton is going to regain that title once he gets rid of Kofi!

Fact of the matter is, if you’re gonna have a feud with Kofi vs Orton then why the heck does Randy have to stoop to Kofi’s level??? I mean when Ted was going against him, and even back to when Cody was feuding with Randy, they had to fight him while he was seated ever so nicely at the top of WWE. The whole situation is backwards! Kofi loses all credibility because he just doesn’t sell this Orton feud if Randy has to STEP DOWN just to fight him! And don’t even get me STARTED on how much this is hurting Randy’s credibility – HIS HARD EARNED CREDIBILITY I MIGHT ADD!!!!!
I say plug this “feud” before it completely kills Randy (granted I’d follow him into the afterlife without a moment’s hesitation) and focus on bringing up Legacy and having Kofi feud with Ted or Cody! MVP should just get lost, and Mark Henry IS NOT A WRESTLER!!!!! He’s just a giant slob! Even the Big Slow is more entertaining!!!!! Oh yeah and Cena vs HHH vs HBK??? Why? Seriously…WHY?! WWE needs to stop going after the fast cash and start adding more depth to some of these plots so that the feuds are more CREDIBLE and LAST LONGER than two months!!!!

I agree with Joel. I kind of feel like Orton has to go down to Kofi’s level tp fight him. I feel like its more up to Randy to sell the match and make it look good. Hopefully it will get better, because I think Kofi will be around for a little while.
