Backstage: Josh Mathews caught up to Randy Orton for an explanation. Orton said Kofi Kingston interfered in his match last night. He’s putting the blame on Kofi for losing last night. And he’s only just begun. Cody and Ted then interrupted Orton’s interview time. They want to show their support. Cody was more enthusiastic. Ted reluctantly went along with this. Legacy then walked Orton over to a brand-new NASCAR car with his face and likeness all over the hood and car. Orton paused and said this is incredible. Ted said it’s no price for the son of the million dollar man. Ted said they’ve had their issues recently, but Orton should consider this a token of their appreciation. Ted said they have another surprise for Orton. He said it’s only a matter of time before the WWE Title comes back to Legacy. Key word: Legacy. Orton was too enthralled with checking himself out on the car to notice what Ted said. Lawler said it was a little creepy. Orton continued to snake around the hood of the car before they cut away.

Post-match: Randy Orton slowly walked out on stage not looking very happy with things. He was selling a slight limp from the Iron Man match. Lawler said Orton really gave a strong effort in the match. Second tease for a babyface turn after Cena talked up Orton. Orton took the mic and said it appears Cena’s next opponent will not be him. He said he knows the terms of his agreement say no more title shots, but he has a guaranteed re-match clause. Suddenly, Kofi Kingston appeared on the video screen. He appeared to be ten feet tall with the camera angle. He told Orton no one cares what he has to say. Orton screamed at him to come to the ring and say it to his face. Kofi said that’s interesting. The camera panned down to show Kofi standing on Orton’s face on the NASCAR car. Orton screamed at him not to do anything. Kofi said the thing he loves about these cars is how durable they are. Kofi then rammed a trunk into the car. He said that didn’t do much, but this will. He then pulled out keys and started to key up the car. Kofi doesn’t have the track record of a Steve Austin to pull off these heel tactics, but he’s getting focus. Feels like Cena and Cryme Tyme spray-painting “poop” on JBL’s limo. Kofi then bashed the vehicle over and over trying to “kill a bug” he pretended that he saw on the hood. He sold that he realized he messed up the paint job, then took out a bucket of paint and splashed it over Orton’s face on the hood. “Ya know what, Randy, I don’t think you’ve ever looked better,” Kofi said. Kofi then slung the bucket of pain down on the hood and some of it splashed up on him. Kofi didn’t fall down, but he looked kind of silly with the paint splashing back up at him. They closed with Kofi standing tall and Orton selling frustration.

Ted and Cody got Randy a customized NASCAR racing car! Talk about your friendship circles! Gotta admit that Teddy seemed a bit reluctant and the whole play on Legacy getting the title back obviously excludes Orton. Hopefully this Kofi vs Orton thing is just a way to integrate a Kofi vs Cody thing because I seriously don’t see Kofi getting any matches with Randy – the man who transcends greatness and is more superior than the entire flipping human race! Maybe further down the line, but not now.

Also, I really despise Cena. I was literally choking to death on my own air as he was drawling his words on the mic. I just wanted to hit fast forward and skip over this false-wrestler and get on with the show. Aside from Cena being a waste of time, energy and flesh, Raw was great. And I’m liking the HBK vs HHH vs Cena match on Survivor Series (I know it’s probably already been done, but I don’t mind it that much )

I am upset. Why does it seem like the WWE is completely removing Orton from main event status? I get that he is no longer able to compete for a championship as long as Cena has it but starting a feud now with Kofi? I mean, they are doing a good job building up Kofi but it seems like they are doing it at the expense of Randy. This whole year (and for much of last), he was constantly in the main event, always either the champion or chasing the title. And now it seems like he is just a mid-card heel in a story with a face who is getting a push. :/

I read your article, and what you said makes alot of sense. Cena might be turning into a heel, and orton might be turning into a face. But who knows? We’ll just see what happens next week.

when the show started and randy pulls off kofi i was desperate…randy now feuding with a new superstar…w/ not so much experience and maybe he’s going out of the wwe championship…oh no ! but after..i thought maybe this is just a phase…and the angle with the car was great…kofi impressed me…and now we can see randy wrestle much more than with the boring matches against cena…when he needed to do everything

my hope is my dear hbk winning the wwe championship…so randy could have a rivalry w/ him and maybe hbk vs orton at wrestlemania 26…would be great ! what you guys think ?

I am going to be honest I would love to see Randy going to smack dowen and whining the world title but it will not happen i think it will be Randy vs Kofi at survivor series with Randy whining very easily hopefully with a punt to the head but more importantly I think Ortons guaranteed re-match clause will be used after survivor series as at survivor series orton will interfere and cost cena the title and at the next ppv it will be orton vs hbk or orton vs hhh and then orton will have what was always his the wwe title

That car that Teddy and Cody gave Randy was awesome I loved it Yeah I agree I hate Kofi so much he’s such a jerk to do that to Randy’s brand new race car I hope Randy gets his revenged I love the part what Randy did to Kofi after he’s match against Jericho RKO 4 Life!

An HBK vs Orton match would be great. It’d be like a fresh breath of stale air you know (because this rivalry happened in the past, but it would be an awesome change to Cena vs Randy )

Side note: I DO NOT trust Cody and Ted. The ride was sick, but it seems like they’re trying to distract Randy from a bigger plan they’re plotting… they’re trying to keep on his good side while they sneak ahead because they know that he’ll unleash hell on them if they become his enemies. Keep on your guard Randy!

That car was so SWEET! And I hate Kofi so much for ruining it! Man that car was awesome. Im sure Orton would have looked so hot driving it too. Hopefully Orton will have something great in store for Kofi next week, cant wait.

It sucks that Orton lost at Bragging Rights but Im so glad the Orton-Cena feud is finally over. Im really liking this whole HBK v HHH v Cena thing. Its seems so fresh when compared to the last 5 PPVs.

Looks like Kofi is going to get a push and feuding with a main eventer like Orton will do that. I didn’t care too much for Kofi before but since dropping the Jamaican accent and the promo he cut things just got really interesting. Orton was awesome as always. Can’t wait to see what happens next week.

I think it would be great to have an HBK vs Orton feud. If HBK is gonna retire next year, it has to happen. Maybe Orton can retire HBK.

As for the turn…i think i read somewhere about Hogan’s interview…he said something like Randy and Cena are so great that Vince can run the storylines with Randy as a babyface and Cena as a heel and it will be a success…or something like it.

I’m happy to see Randy do something new. I mean I love Randy as champ, but I’m glad to see him do something besides go for the title. I am also happy that they are starting to push the new talent. I think we will see a traditional survivor series match. Orton,Legacy probably Swagger and 1 more person vs. Kofi,Evan Bourne,MVP,Mark Henry, and somebody else. But we will see.

Im mad i actually wanted to see randy destroy john cena on raw…well, what happened, happened, and im just going to have to deal with it…i just wonder whats gonna happen next week on raw…hmmmmm…
