RANDY ORTON vs. SHANE MCMAHON — No Holds Barred match
Anything goes tonight. Shane came out first looking very determined to take apart Orton. The match opened with Shane bobbing and weaving to frustrate Orton, then Shane knocked Orton to the floor. Huge puddle of oil and sweat on the floor after Orton crashed to the padding. Shane tried to follow, but Orton smashed him back-first into the ring apron. Back in the ring, Orton took off the turnbuckle padding and went back to work on Shane. Orton slowly walked around the ring teasing that Shane was done, then he approached Shane, who suddenly busted out a Kendo stick to crack Orton in the face.
At 5:00, Shane repeatedly blasted Orton with the stick. Orton winced with every blow to the sternum, then Orton regrouped on the outside. Shane followed out and hit a running clothesline. You knew this was coming. Shane cleared the Smackdown announce table, then grabbed a TV monitor and cracked it over Orton’s forehead. Point of the monitor caught Orton around the right temple and Orton came up bleeding. Didn’t catch Orton leaning down to blade there, so it looked hardway. Could be wrong, though. Shane then went up top for a splash on Orton, but DiBiase and Cody Rhodes jumped into the ring. Cody then retrieved a chair to smash Shane, but Shane moved and DiBiase accidentally took the chair to the back. Cut back to Stephanie watching on a backstage monitor.

At 8:00, Shane grabbed a trashcan and placed it over Cody in the corner. Shane wanted to go coast-to-coast on Cody after delivering it on DiBiase on Raw. Shane measured Cody, then went all the way across the ring in mid-air with a dropkick square in the face. Meanwhile, Orton was bleeding heavily while still on the Smackdown table. Shane, having SuperShaned on Cody and DiBiase, went back up top for the dive on Orton. Orton was playing opossum, though, and Shane ate the table, then the floor when Orton moved. Orton went back into the ring and told DiBiase to get Cody out of here to make sure he’s okay. Just do it man!

At 11:00, Shane slowly returned to the ring and took the horizontal DDT off the middle rope. Crowd was quiet as Orton beat down on Shane after setting up a table in the corner of the ring. Orton then took McMahon up top for a Cowboy Bob superplex and Orton connected right through the table. Very violent PPV so far tonight. Orton slowly made his way over to Shane for a cover, but SuperShane kicked out before three. Orton, frustrated, slammed Shane’s head into a broken part of the table. Another cover, but Shane kicked out at 15:00.

Shane then went on the offensive and grabbed the chair Cody tried to use earlier. Shane bashed Orton across the stomach, body, and legs. Orton hobbled and cried out in pain, then he begged off Shane, who measured him for a direct chair blow. Camera cut away real quick, so it was hard to see if it was a direct blow to the head or upper shoulder area. In any event, Shane wanted one more smashing shot via The Punt, but Orton suddenly snapped to his feet and nailed the RKO for the pin and the win.

WINNER: Orton at 18:18.

Yeah I’m so happy that Randy Orton the match against the spoiled brat Shane McMahon and I’m also happy that HBK Shawn Michels won JBL as well that makes me very happy

Yeah that was some match..I was like wow Randy..come on lets go. I was sooo thrilled that he won tonight i was like yes he did it..Shane got put in his place hehe..I hope Randy is ok too can’t wait til RAW tomorrow night. Great Job tonight Orton!!!

I’m so happy!!!! I was freaking out the entire time!! I hope Randy’s ankle is okay, that scared me.
My theories:
Since both titles are on Smackdown, Hunter is coming to Raw. He and Stephanie are married, he needs to protect her because I think Randy’s next target will be her, as it should be. She’s been a pain in the butt. This Randy/McMahon fued isn’t going to be over anytime soon.

The Orton-Shane match was an embarrassment to the wwe and the fans. The idea that Shane McMahon could outfight Randy Orton – even with weapons – is completely absurd. Makes no sense at all, but that is what the wwe all about – not making sense and just offering up silly nonsensical matches to fans who don’t have the ability to want something with more substance. And what’s up with Shane appearing in a shirt? Maybe because he’s got no body? How embarrassing. He can’t fight (they had to make this a no-holds match after the pathetic performance he put in when he first appeared against Orton), he has no stamina, and he has no body worth showing off – so why is he in a wrestling ring?

Trust me on this…..the wwe is slowly working this so that Triple H, the biggest ego in the business, will wrestle Orton at WM – and win. If you think EgoTrips doesn’t want the 25th anniversary of WM to be all about him, you are wrong. What a selfish person.

And to the writer of the article that reviewed this match….”SuperShane?” You gotta be kidding me. You bought this nonsense hook, line and sinker.

I’m am so happy Randy won!! Shawn does not need to win. I and glad JBL lost too for he also deserved it for what he was doing to Shawn Micheals. And not just that he does not care about HBK, he only hired him so he can win heavy world weight camption, well that did not happen.

Now thats how you start a Legacy… and im glad Orton shows he actully cares bout ted n cody… a tru leader n a tru heel… WM25 here we come!!.. dam Edge Or Triple?

yeah, I liked that he had the mind to tell Ted to get Cody outta there. It does show he cares about his group..and that he still has a heart inspire of his ruthlessness. But at the same time, he wants to do it on his own and not be distracted by them. Ted did good too. He seems to care about Randy too (more than Cody does actually) Its a great group, that Legacy. I like it.

Re: who Orton will challenge for championship. I do think it will be exciting to see him and edge fight it out. But a lot can happen in a month. Maybe Cena will ask for a rematch to get his title back from Edge. Who knows? Or yeah, Randy vs. Triple H sounds good too. But they’ve done that last year. I’m hoping not coz I like Triple H too. But between him and Randy…I’m with Randy all the way, baby!

I knew Randy was going to win the match to Shane McMahon is the best and deserves the title already. I am very proud of him.

I totally agree with Erich on this nite….it was ridiculous how they booked Shane to be even as remotely strong enough to hang with Orton…seriously…Orton should have moped the ring and floor with Shane’s blood….and to think weeks ago Orton was the most dangerous performer….only to have SuperShane be able to give off that much offense??…this is just a build so that EgoTrips can face Orton and avenge his family and also it’s to knock Orton down a notch because HHH can’t have someone seem more powerful than him…..i love Randy and glad he won but the booking was horrible….

Anyways, Orton will always be the best and I like how he told Ted to help Cody to the back….that’s the leader Orton is…he actually cares and won’t delibrately put his Legacy partners in danger….

Randy Orton vs. Edge ? this would be a great match at wrestlemania.
