Backstage, Kelly Kelly was talking to someone off camera. She was pouring her heart out to someone, then the camera swung around to reveal Randy Orton. He said Kelly is pathetic and he only used her for one night. Orton said the last thing he needs tonight is a distraction. He stormed off, leaving Kelly to consider her next step.

In-ring, Randy Orton came out first for the main event four-way match to determine the #1 contender to John Cena. He milked the entrance for a while, then Shawn Michaels came out second. Chris Jericho out third, followed by JBL in the white limo to rub shoulders with the unclean people near the entrance stage.

Michaels and Jericho re-visited their history in the opening moments before cutting to a break.

Orton and Jericho were going after each other while JBL and HBK, Inc. watched from the ring apron. Jericho teased the Walls of Jericho in 5:00, but Orton slipped out, only to be dropkicked to the floor. Back in the ring, Orton surprised Jericho with a clothesline, then Michaels tagged in for Orton to work on Jericho. JBL then blind-tagged himself into the match and accepted a codebreaker from Jericho. Michaels broke up the pin to save his employer, though, and nailed Jericho with the superkick at 8:00 after tagging himself back in for JBL. Michaels covered Jericho for the first elimination.

Back from break, JBL had Orton locked in a sleeper hold. He continued to work on Orton as Michaels looked on from the ring apron stuck in a “Got a little captain in you” pose with one leg extended over the middle rope. JBL pummeled Orton, who received an “RKO” chant during spurts of silence.

At 15:00, JBL knocked over Orton with a clothesline as HBK continued to watch. Orton then made a comeback and started to “take a walk around the park” stomping on JBL. Fans popped as Orton set up JBL for the Punt, but JBL scrambled over to Michaels to make a tag to his employee. Orton suddenly snapped off the fallaway backbreaker and Michaels sold it like a pro. Orton then eyeballed JBL and went down into the crouch for the RKO on Michaels, who slowly made his way to his feet and avoided the finisher. Michaels then loaded up Sweet Chin Music and smashed Orton square in the jaw at 20:00 to score the pin on Orton.

JBL entered the ring and backed away when Michaels feigned the superkick. JBL then stared at Michaels, who surveyed the scene and stared back at JBL with pleading eyes. They shared a stare down from a distance, then JBL slowly walked over to Michaels and pointed to the mat for him to take a dive. Michaels closed his eyes and fought back tears while listening to the boos. Fans tried to rally with an “H-B-K” chant, then Michaels verbally pleaded with JBL. Michaels then hitched up his britches and slowly went down to one knee before getting back up. Fans ate this up with a giant spoon. He kept playing with their emotions before finally going down to the mat. He went flat on his back to take a nice long look at the ceiling, but then popped up to his feet.

HBK backed into the corner and said he couldn’t do this. Michaels pleaded with JBL one more time before shouting at JBL to do it. Just do it. Michaels closed his eyes then JBL creamed him with the Clothesline from Hell. Michaels fell flat on his back and JBL covered him for the pin and the win. JBL gets the title shot at the Rumble. Michaels gets a giant bruise. Raw gets a ten-minute over-run and five minutes of epic HBK. Afterward, JBL stood on stage and looked down into the ring where Michaels sat up and stared down with tears welling up beneath the surface.

WINNER: JBL in 25:00

Kelly’s a lucky girl to be involved in a storyline with him, real or not real.

It be cool if they do a Kelly Kelly Randy Orton storyline.

And I’m a little disappointed it won’t be him vs Cena at the Rumble. The tag match from a couple weeks back was…indescribable. It did funny things to my ovaries, XDDDDDDDDDDDD, especially when John was down on one knee in front of Ortz and he had that hand on Ortz’s hip…XDDDDDDDDDDDDD.

(Everyone, chill. I’m a huge fan of both, and am one of lots of people who love to “slash” John and Randy together. BTW, Look up “slash” if you don’t know what it means. I mean absolutely no harm or offense to anyone with the above comment, but a lot of people do share my sentiments, and I will gladly point you their way if you’d like. )

Ha! Thats what I thought. I can’t really see them togeather honestly. Ortons ego would get in the way if they were to be in a relationship.

This was an interesting main event considering all heels were involved. I liked how the crowd eventually sided with Randy Orton even though he’s supposed to be the major heel. I guess the fans were expected to root for HBK to turn against JBL but that would have been too predictable and they knew it.

Randy Orton And Kelly Kelly ??!! It’s Not Real !! It’s Just To Stir Things Up With Kane And Randy Thats All !! To Have A Good Storyline With Them 2 For A While !! She’s Just The Middle Person ! A Reason To Start Them Arguing !!

How much longer do we have to tolerate Michaels? Orton is the most talented man in the WWE and yet we have to watch him lose cleanly to Michaels? Not only is it boring – we’ve seen it too many times – it’s foolish to continue to make Orton look like he can’t measure up. He lost a slugfest with Michaels – idiiotic – then Michaels escapes his finisher, but Orton can’t escape Michael’s finisher? Why the same old stuff? Let’s allow the new talent to come out on top for a change. The Michaels/JBL storyline is complete nonsense to begin with so supporting that by Orton being knocked out of the mix is silly. The focus has gone completely awry in the WWE. Still, Orton plays his role better than anybody. That’s real talent.

It’s sucks that Randy didn’t win the match last night. I was really hoping for a change. I would love for him to be World Heavyweight Champion, even though I’m a big Cena fan.

I think they would’ve had a Kelly Kelly/Randy Orton storyline if it wasn’t for Samantha.
It might actually have been interesting compared to the other storylines they have these days..

Ortons elimination was lame

That’s the only reason why Randy didn’t win the Elimination Match. I think we all know Randy totally could have. The only reason why is because of the Kane/Kelly/Randy conflict. I got so freaked out when Kane attacked the Miz. I love the Miz!! Now I’m going to DIE if Kane sneak attacks Randy!!!!! I will lose it big time!!

also with the whole kelly kelly thing….i think it could be interesting…i think she will confront randy again and say they can make it work and all but he will say she’s too “nice” since she’s a face character and he’s a heel character and that to be WITH him she would have to be LIKE him and she mite turn heel and just tag along w/ legacy…even though she’s not 2nd or 3rd gen superstar….eventually she’ll RKO’d on the floor and that’s how he’ll get rid of her since she doesn’t fit in….like back in the times when he RKO’d stacy…..

I think I’d like Randy and Kelly as a couple in a storyline. Randy has to have a weak spot in his heart, and Kelly might be it. Even if he didn’t show it to her, the opposite instead.
Who knows maybe this story is gonna turn in a different way, I only hope it will be a good one for Randy. He is definitely one of the best heel in wrestling today!

Man when they showed who Kelly was talking to about I though you loved me and they showed Randy I like finally these two as a WWE couple just for a storyline I though my wish came true..I hope Randy makes up to her because they look cute together on screen and I hope Kane gets into it too..I love Randy, Kane and Kelly that would be so cool and freaky at the same time hehe..I sure wish Randy could have won that match on Monday but he still is the best..Well have a Happy New Years everyone!!!

Face it, he’s good at being bad. The only wrestler who gets cheered for being a heel. Got to love that.

I really hate that he won’t be fighting Cena at the Rumble. I mean, I’m a Cena fan and all but I wouldn’t really pay to watch him fight JBL. Now, Randy and John… that would be a different story. Hopefully they’ll have Randy in a match worthy of him come Rumble, something different. Maybe it’ll be something along the Kelly Kelly storyline, don’t know. Or maybe he’ll be one of the thirty and just beat the hell out of everyone and be number one contender again. I hope so, that’s the only reason I’m tolerating the JBL win.

I wonder if they’ll ever team him up with Cena again. That was just…. awesome (the word I was going to use probably wouldn’t be appreciated here!)

Anyway, only great things are coming for the Legend Killer in 2009. How could they not, he’s only THE best thing since sliced bread. Woooo for the Legacy, as well. No greater way to assert your power than to have a few Ortonites running around after you and doing your bidding. Well done, Randy.

Hehe I feel ya Lynette..That Randy knows how to turn on some girls when he first steps out onto the ramp and give the fans that devilous look from side to side and walks down the ramp staring deadly at the ring and the person who is about to face stand up on the turnbuckle and poses with his chin held up high and looks around the arena again and then the guy again woooo stalker lol jk..Yeah if Randy were to be in a movie and it was suppose to be scarey Randy would make that roll cause he’s so sexy evil hehe..He’ll get all the girls screaming and one to fall in love with him then him and her could kill all the rest. Hope 2009 is Randy’s year too!! Randy has a lot of storylines and angles going for him right now with legacy, kelly kelly, the world heavyweight championship, and I hope all of them are going to turn out well. There are sooo many ways to go abouts all his storylines….

With Legacy…..maybe he will give manu another chance, maybe not, maybe have sim and cody fight manu in handicap and if manu wins manu gets to stay, maybe give them tag match w/ sim cody manu against 3 others and he needs them to make an impact win or lose…orton will come out and direct traffic…like in that tag match against batista cena in the end when he basicaly commanded cody and manu to attack cena before he punts batista…maybe orton remembers his earlier speach about strength in numbers and will help out on all their matches….who knows….

With Kelly Kelly….maybe she needs to prove to him she’s aggressive and ruthless like him to be with him….it may be a heel turn for her and she will help orton or maybe she will pretend to be heel just to be with him….maybe pretend to like kane to get a short kane and orton fight started just to hold over till wrestlemania when orton fights cena…but in the process kelly turns heel on kane and teams w/ orton tagging along w/ legacy….or she could pretend to like another member of legacy, cody maybe, to get close to orton but orton doesn’t care and blows her off….but the cody will be naive and jelous and cause the end in legacy…maybe kicking orton out seeing orton is 3rd gen and the others will be 2nd gen and orton further cementing an “anti-hero” “tweener” character against the heels (cody manu sim debiase, w/e) and also faces (cena batista)…

World Heavyweight Championship…i think we will see orton cena match at wrestlemania…orton wins of course…hopefully orton will be further developed in 2009 into that character where he will NOT care about reprecautions and do what he likes whenever he likes…facing both heels and faces and will still be cheered…he’s already doing that but it will be further cemented in 2009 hopefully….

I believe the whole Kelly Kelly storyline is just to give Orton more of the “I do what I want” character…While he is the biggest heel on RAW, his character is attarcting more and more fans who used to hate his pretty boy image. What better way to show the fans he doesn’t care about anything or anybody but treating the hottest woman on RAW like crap? Even with the Legacy, he is not being the typical leader of a faction where he encourages his protoges in only positve ways like Triple H did in the first half of Evolution to Orton and Batista. Hopefully Orton’s character develops into a badass who just beats up anybody that pisses him off. John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship for the main event at Wrestlemania 25…If WWE does not set that up, I don’t know what else they are going to do…
