Low blows: While basking in his WrestleMania success, the joy for Orton was short-lived, as several weeks later, Randy lost the WWE Title to Triple H in a Fatal Four Way Match at Backlash. Orton’s attempts to regain his title from Triple H were unsuccessful, leading to a collar-bone fracture at the hands of The Game at One Night Stand, which derailed Orton’s title pursuits for the majority of 2008. Crystal ballin’: With Orton fully recovered from injury, and seemingly amassing allies in the locker room (Cody Rhodes and Manu), the championship potential for Orton seems limitless. It seems Randy is nominated in the 2008 Sun.co.uk Wrestling Awards for Wrestler Of The Year and Favorite Feud Of 2008, where you have the choice to vote for your favorites.  I’m not sure when the voting closes but it began on the 25th so it may end tomorrow, so get those votes in! | |||

He said he will not tolerate losers in this Legacy group. All three have singles matches tonight. If you win, you’re in. If you lose, you’re out. Orton told Cody he’s up first. Cody stared down Sim, then walked off. The arrangement of the group there certainly has Sim in a position of power. Backstage, Kelly Kelly was talking to someone off camera. She was pouring her heart out to someone, then the camera swung around to reveal Randy Orton. He said Kelly is pathetic and he only used her for one night. Orton said the last thing he needs tonight is a distraction. He stormed off, leaving Kelly to consider her next step. | |||

 « Screen Captures · Digitals · Video1 » Backstage, Sim Snuka tried to convince Randy Orton that as a second-generation star, he could make a big difference in his group. Orton didn’t answer, then Manu and Cody Rhodes stepped up. “What?!” Manu shot toward Orton. He then looked at Manu and said maybe they could use a new member. Orton walked off, then Snuka shot a look toward Manu. In-ring, Randy Orton came to the ring first for his scheduled match against Batista if he’s healthy to compete. Long ring intro for Orton to give the announcers plenty of time to set the stage. A ref then stepped into the ring and told ring announcer Justin Roberts something. Roberts said Batista is unable to compete tonight, so the winner of the match as a result of a forfeit, Randy Orton. Fans booed that one, then Orton had his hand raised. | |||
