Orton then turned his attention to the World champ, C.M. Punk. He said that four years ago when he first won his World Title, Punk was wrestling in no-name towns for a no-name organization. He said that Punk was able to briefcase and get a lucky title win to become World champ. Orton said he would love to challenge Punk right here tonight, but he’s not medically cleared. He said will be cleared, then he will challenge Punk and re-claim this show to make everyone forget about the sorry history of Raw known as C.M. Punk.

Punk had enough and his music hit to a strong ovation. Huge reaction for Punk, who has the audience totally in his corner. Punk got right in Orton’s face as the crowd chanted his name. He said he got a head-ache listening to Orton back there. Punk said he prefers not to live in the past, as Orton had granddaddy and daddy to usher him into the WWE. Punk said the fact is that he is the World Heavyweight champion. He said he doesn’t take joyrides on his motorcycle in 3:00 a.m. to re-injure himself. Punk said it went from the Age of Orton to Orton being a complete after-thought.

Punk accused Orton of being jealous, then Punk told Orton he’s pathetic. Orton said he can see that this conversation is going to have to continue at a later time, so he started to leave the ring while favoring his arm. Orton slowly backed away and Punk continued his promo until JBL interrupted and walked past Orton on the way to the ring.

Backstage: Cody and DiBiase, Jr. addressed Randy Orton about the worthless comment. Orton asked Cody if he remembers how they first met. Orton asked Cody if he remembers when they first met – when he slapped his father. Cody said he remembers th— and Orton slapped the crap out of him. Cody wanted a piece of Orton, but Teddy held him back. Orton explained that they are the two most-talented wrestlers in the locker room, but they don’t act like it. He said he will continue to stand by his words until they do something about it. Awesome.

Backstage: Cody and Teddy proudly walked up to Orton and patted the tag title belts over their shoulders. Orton gave a smirk of approval, then he continued walking down the hallway.

In-ring: Randy Orton decided to sit ringside for a closer look at the action. C.M. Punk then came out as the third man in the battle royal with all eyes on him and the World Title. Kane came out fourth, leaving one remaining person. The bell sounded after a pause for Rey, so no Rey to start things off.

Post-match: Orton gave him a sarcastic round of applause, then Punk stood up and stared back at Orton. They shared a moment, then Punk dumped water on Orton and walked away.

Randy Orton’s NOT pathetic. C.M. Punk is wrong to be disrespectful like that. That’s true what Randy Orton said about a brand being only as strong as it’s champion is. Raw was only strong when Randy Orton was WWE champion. Raw is an absoliute joke. Randy Orton could beat Santino Marella even with a broken clavicle (colarbone). Randy Orton’s right. He would have hunted down anyone who took his title and taken back what belongs to him!

i can’t wait for randy to return and shut c.m. punk up. He hasn’t had a decent win with the belt since he won it unlike randy. I expect randy to win it when he returns, and who’ll be jealous than huh punk? And does anyone sense a stable happening with rhodes, diBiase and randy like randy being leader or something, honestly I hope that doesn’t happen cuz randy shouldn’t have to carry those guys, he should just be champ and he works better alone.

I the same way Orton is the youngest world heavywieght champion in WWE histrory and he’s right Raw is becoming a joke and If and when Randy gets a title shot will destroy CM Punk like him or not that’s what going to happen

I loved how Randy was the center of RAW. His promo was pure gold and further proof that he’s still the top heel on RAW. CM Punk vs. Randy Orton is already being built up and I for one for one am extremely looking forward to that confrontation! Orton was spot on when he called Rhodes and DiBiase worthless, maybe slapping the taste out of young Cody’s mouth has ignited a fire in the duo. As far as the possibility of a faction goes, Orton should continue to be a loner as he works better that way. When he makes an in-ring return it doesn’t matter who the WHC Champion is, The Age Of Orton will resume. The WHC looks better on Orton than the WWE Championship in my opinion so it will be good to see that title on his shoulder once again.

I think that Randy should go for the WWE Championship not the Heavyweight Championship. Orton’s always been the top dog, the top dog should take the top gold (a.k.a. the WWE Championship)

CM Punk is NOTHING in the ring compared to the RKO-Man. Only way somebody would actually win a match against Randy is if he gave them the win. One example would be Triple H eh hmmz *coughs* I’d rather have Randy as the Leader of raw at least he knows when to suprise his fans and his enemies and get ratings back up. With randy you will never know what to expect.

As for the AGE OF ORTON, the saga will CONTINUE!

That was a cowardly move by CM Punk! Dumping water on him, r u serious!!! He lucky randy was injured at the time, I’m sure randy would had RKOed him by now if he wasn’t injured. Besides, CM Punk is not even in randy’s league!

oh, and CM Punk is just hatin’ on randy because randy was a BETTER champion.

It was nice to see Randy in the ring! I am glad to know that he has not lost his drive….and he still looks so …gosh darn good!!! I was just hoping he would have said more back to punk…but, I guess …..he does not need to talk….he will show everyone once he returns…….and the “AGE OF ORTON” is restored. Take care of yourself Randy……Your true fans will wait as long as you need…take the time to heal properly. 100% is what we can not wait to see…. when you come back, we want you back for a LONG TIME!!!! Long Live the “AGE OF ORTON” !!!!
